worst movie ever

lol, i kinda liked that movie. Berringer is a badass...and ernie hudson is always a good actor. Was great on Oz

and i kinda liked the sequels after that with Treat Williams (those were REAL cheesy..in comparison)

there are way worse movies than that

Envy or Balls of fury are way worse

Envy that's movie with ben stiller and jack black..def the worst movie i've ever seen. balls of fury i couldn't even watch completely. That pingpong comedy with christopher walken and a few other guys

i have to disagree
the worst movie ever made was "the curse" it was made in my hometown years ago about some bacteria getting into the local water and people being attacked by overgrown tomatoes

What about that Nick Cage movie where he can see a minute into the future? That was beyond stink.

Attack of the Killer Tomatoes 2 (Officially titled "Return of the Killer Tomatoes")

The first one was a cult classic.

The second one was very painful to watch.

Also ""Leprechaun in Space" is very painful.

The original "Troll" movie was horrible too.

I've wasted many hours of my life watching crap like that.

Worst movie that has a reputation for being a good movie = Smoke.
The scenes with Forest Whitaker had me dying laughing. I don’t think they were supposed to have that effect.
It’s only redeeming factor was that it had a few Tom Waits songs in the soundtrack.

The Subsitute, starring Tom Beringer and Ernie Hudson.

discuss.
Yet it still had sequels????

The Substitute 2: School's Out (1998)
The Substitute 3: Winner Takes All (1999)
The Substitute: Failure is Not an Option (2000)

Howard the Duck. That was awful.
With Lea Thompson? How could you not like that?
I hated "The Perfect Storm". "The Guardian" sucked too.
"Moulin Rouge" was so bad I could only watch the first 20 minutes.

I'm still holding out for Scorchy, starring Connie Stevens as a middle-aged narcotics cop in Canada. It was like watching a train wreck.

I'm happy to report there will never be a sequel, because the last shot is Scorchy going out with guns blazing after getting shot in the liver.

Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind or something like that it was beyond horrible.
Next is the Cage movie you were looking for.

That movie is very poignant and very deep.

One of my top 10 BEST movies ever.

no, man. here's a scene from the movie.

One of the students (Tyrone, which was actually played by none other than Jay-Z), asked Shale (the renegade badass who infiltrated the high school in order to deter the underground crime, played by Tom Beringer) a question in class regarding his life as a previous army badass:

Student: Yo yo mr. shale,,did you ever lose any homies in Vietnam?
Shale: Why yes, Tyrone, I lost a lot of homies in nam.

hahahaah!! it doesnt get much more horrible than that.

or what about the scene where Beringer is writing on the chalkboard, and some kid throws a piece of paper at him,,,Beringer turns around, catches the wad of paper in mid-air, throws it back at him, and knocks the kid out.

simply awesome.

jay z wasn't in that movie. what are you talking about?

that quote is pretty funny, but it's not nearly as bad in the movie.obviously not a flick you watch for its writing lol, but it was entertaining. berringer didn't take no shit from anybody

point is, not saying it's a good movie but there are a million worse movies.

Jay-Z WAS in that movie. so was Marc Anthony. (he was the drug kingpin).
hahaha

ok, maybe not the worst movie of all time. Someone mentioned "Killer Clowns From Outer Space" which was absolutely atrocious. that is number 1.

the substitute, however, stands at number 2 in the all-time worst movie category.

cat woman, daredevil, elektra,a man apart, anything with burt reynolds, vin deisel, partrick swayze, nick cannon, see no evil, i know what killed me. (the pole dance scene was cool though) dragon fly, the reaping, wrong turn 2, breed. i can go on forever!!! i think the actual title holder for worst movie ever made is Gili. you would think after completing the movie someone would have watched it before releasing it to the public.

wait wait wait glitter with mariah carey might be tied for that title

marc anthony was...jay z wasn't bro. That's not one of those things you just overlook when seeing a movie
i don't know where you came up with that. i'll put money on it (or in this world, K)

dammit, go watch the movie. "Tyrone" is played by Jay Z.

the reason why you didnt realize it at the time was because when the movie came out,,Jay-Z wasn't popular. Marc Anthony has been popular for a while.

let's bet. watch it again. i'm telling you, tyrone = Jay-Z.

(i dont know why im arguing with anyone over the cast of the Substitute).

LOL!

he's not even listed in the credits. i checked IMDB after you said it

i don't remember a tyrone in the movie.they could have all been named tyrone

haha he's in this scene:

tyrone: yo yo mr. shale,,did you ever lose any homies in Vietnam?
Shale: why yes, tyrone, i lost a lot of homies in nam.

hahahahaha

i swear, man..even my brother confirmed it,,and he's the movie trivia fucking master.

Check the link I posted. He's not in the credits and it doesn't even show a Tyrone.

i stand corrected, gentlemen! Jay-Z was not in the Substitute. and apparently, the guy's name in the movie is Jerome, as opposed to Tyrone.

fuck!! i guess my Substitute trivia just isn't up to par.

funny side note: when i was back in college, my brother and i got real stoned and went out and rented all of the Substitute movies, just for a good laugh. we got through the first one,,laughed our asses off, of course. all the while higher than hell. then, we got to the second one, i think it was starring Treat Williams in place of Tom Beringer. it was so horrible, we had to turn the tv off. we couldnt even watch it.

Yup. Played by Sharron Corley.

You need some better sticky rob.

ok, no, this movie is definitely the worst.

here's another scene:

Ernie Hudson's character, plays a principal of a high school, who also happens to be a badass and also works for the drug kingpin, a student of the school....hahahahah

anyways, there's this one scene where this principal, in demonstrating the skill and badassness he uses with regards to disciplining students, to none other then Shale, the "Substitute teacher" played by Tom Berenger.

anyways, to make a long story short, the guy (ernie hudson) grabs one of those wooden paddles (like a fraternity paddle), uses this gay quote, something "a power perceived is a power achieved," and suddenly just fucking punches the paddle in half.

and i mean, this movie was dead serious. this was not intended for its comedic purpose.

bottom line: it may not be the most awful movie if you've ever seen if you're counting B movies. But this is definitely the most awful "A" movie of all time.

discuss.

lol substitute is no where near the worst movie of all time..

i just recently watched it again cause it was on tv and i actually watched it in its entirety..

you obviously haven't seen too many movies

ok, maybe not the worst overall movie,,but the fucking plot and the fucking script are the worst.

the only other thing that really comes close is that movie Best of the Best starring eric roberts. the one where the asian guy gets trained by the drunken indian to fight that guy Brackis. (sp.) anyone remember that one? maybe that was Best of the Best 2. regardless, it was absolutely atrocious.

dude, i dont know about that.

in the substitute, Shale knocks the kid out with a fucking wad of paper! it just doesnt get much worse.

oh shit,,now that we're on the subject of horrible movies in the setting of a high school, how 'bout that movie "The Principal" with Jim Belushi. pretty much the same general plot of the Substitute, only more horrible.

broken arrow was worse than the substitute

you can't fuck with the black ghostbuster

I liked ConAir, Matchstick Men, Lord of War, Face Off, and a few other Cage movies.
Kevin Costner - now there's a tool that almost never has a good movie - Mr Brooks was great.

call me gay, but im gonna go out on a limb and say that "Dances with Wolves" was a great movie.
