hey guys this is probably a common question but i havent got plat yet to search the threds. Will be gettin plat soon though.

How long do you guys workout for in one session,

I work full time and go to uni full time so i can only usually workout an hour a day. Im usually pretty fucked by the end of it anyways.

But i still think im not really doing wot i need to.

1-1.5 hrs inclusive of cardio.

Ditto, but in a time pinch I have done "circuit" type training (with weights) to shave time and also supersetting/trisetting exercises for the same reasons. Also, by having little to no rest in between it creates a cardio like workout as well

usually around 2 hrs but thats with me and a partner so a good chunk of it is changing plates and waiting for the next person to go, probably 1hr if im by myself.

Yer cool sounds like im pretty close to the mark. Obviously personal choice with how long you workout

i know someone who works out for 20 minutes hits the muscles hard and heavy and done... i workout for about an hour give or take.. depending on my mood..

45-90 min, however it depends upon what body part is being worked on that day and generally 30-45 min of cardio

an hour to an hour and 15 min MAX should be all you are doing. if it takes longer then that then youre either overtraining or not going at it with enough intensity....or are spending too much time bullshitting.

if you cant do it in 45 minutes go home

I'm not entirely sure thats good advice....

For deadlifting near maxes 5x5 then 3x3 it takes me 45-60mins just to deadlift. Add in other work and its easily 1 1/2 hours. Heavy squats take a bit longer than normal as well. If i'm praticing snatch/clean and jerk I warmup for at least 20-30 mins before I start adding weight for singles.

An average day for me would be around an hour to an hour and a half. I don't train for the 'pump' though, I train to lift heavier weights. Different strokes for different folks.

Definitely. If it's a high rep day that doesn't take me as long as a low rep, plus depends on the body part I'm working. Typically though it's about 1 and 1/2-2 hours including cardio

45 Minutes if people leave me alone.
2 hours if I have to stop and answer every kid's question of "How long will it take me to look like you if I use BowFlex?"

I am soooo pleased with this thread. Alot of you guys that I've seen make great comments on other threads are on this one sayin, 45 min to an hr. That just makes my day. I guess it all depends on your goals. Do you want to be a meat-head, or do you want results. Seems general idea here is 'hit it and quit it' if you want max gains.
I don't talk about me bein a trainer much, cause I don't think that validates my opinion, but in this case it does. All my clients are 45 min sessions. And most of my clients can't after even 12 weeks working with me, could not do "my" 45 min routine.
I kick my ass in 45 min. On arm day, I struggle to open the door to leave. Leg day maybe less time, I can barely get to the door. Unless I'm on, then I don't seem to get tired.

- then go home slam a 1500 calorie protien shake, and take 20 min nap.
