When I first started a few years I read a lot of boards and people bashed the idea of having a day dedicated to arms.
When I first started working out I did the typical bodybuilder split working out each muscle once a week. That got me nowhere so I changed it up and did an upper/lower routine hitting each group twice a week. I focuses on squats, deads, and bench. I gained a lot with this routine. I put mass on my chest, back, and legs. I got a lot stronger but I didn't get the mass I wanted in my arms. I'm not a big arms guy, I prefer chest and back, but when those areas got up to where I wanted them I wanted to focus on lagging areas.
I changed it up again and went back to working out each muscle once a week. I had a day devoted to arms and found that they really started to grow.
I am confused as to why this is working so well now when it didn't work well in the beginning. I think a day devoted to arms is great if they are lacking.
I was just wondering how many of you guys have a day devoted to just arms.
