Ok, as a biz owner I would never tell a customer I didn't give a shit about their opinion, but that's what just happened here.

My poll about the text parser was sincere and intended to offer a suggestion as an alternative.

Instead this is what the mod posted when it was locked.

"Sorry. If the administrators want your vote, they'll ask for it."

Nice, nice fucking attitude.

If I ran my biz that way with that attitude, I'd be out of biz in a week.

As a guy that hasn't received a paycheck signed by anyone but myself for well over a decade, I'd have to say that I agree. I didn't get a chance to post my feelings on that thread but since we're 2nd class, non-platy members I guess we don't get to bitch.

How about we offer to upgrade to platy contingent upon dumping that text parse shit??? If that doesn't get some consideration nothing will.

We have to keep that feature for now. In the future it will be an option you can turn on and off. But right now the code does not allow for it. So we have to keep it.


Threads about this issue will continue to get locked.

Why?

Because we have heard everything people have had to say about it. And MOST of our paying members don't really mind the feature... So we have decided to keep the feature as is.

Since there are no changes in the works any time soon, there is no reason to keep talking about it.
