I have a beat up pair of nikes I've been sporting for like 3 months exclusively - never even gave it any thought.

If a girl turned me down over shoes then I doubt Im missing anything, there are plenty other more important factors that should go into turning me down.

I only own two pairs of shoes: Nikes which I wear 90% of the time, and some more formal but comfortable dress shoes I wear out at night.

I actually avoid dressing up. I don't aspire to that yuppie look, and I don't want people to be interested in me for that reason.

its not the first thing i notice, but like someone said above, nicer shoes can even make jeans look good......i'm not a fan of tennis shoes for anywhere but the gym most of the time.
