You guys can move this to the training section, but I wanted some replies...

Leg development is coming along nicely. Getting much bigger in size (thanks Corn)

Question: I'm getting a huge teardrop on the inner quad (Vastus Medilias ?) but not much on the outer quad. (Lateralis ?)

Who, What, When, Why the hell?

What can I do to get that outer sweep to come out?
Right now I'm doing squats and deads only.....

WTF am I doing or not doing?

Mucho appreciado........

Disclaimer - do not listen to the folks who will tell you that the following will not work.

Leg extensions with the feet turned in as much as possible

Wide hacks as Saint mentioned(feet slightly turned) light weight

Very close stance squats with feet nearly touching(on Smith)

Very close foot placement of leg presses with heels lined up with bottom of platform

I should add that the tear drop is a sign you are doing FULL squats which is excellent!!

Great replies everyone! Thanks!

I will definately try these and see what works for me.
I'm coming up on my one year anniversary for my knee surgery.
No problems so far. Will any of these mentioned cause any grief?

Again, thanks guys.......

Usual stuff mentioned by Corn, inner foot placement on leg press, squats, etc, however, I must point this out, genetics play a huge role, sometimes no matter what you do, even if you did inner stance squats for the rest of your life, your sweep may never grow like you want, its all in your genetic make up. peace

They should not cause problems, stick to a methodical movement with anything inner stance and reps in the 10 - 20 range. peace

i too have a lack of outer sweep. and ive spent this year trying to make them grow. but ive noticed that if you do, you will not be able to maintain the growth on your teardrop. most because close stance and angled feet position makes you handle less weight. and that way you wont be working your strenght as much. my advice is to stick to what you are doing. and in the end it will start to grow..maybe throw in one specialized exercise in each workout..but not more.
