WINNY IS HARMFUL---blood work results back....

For those who think you need a doctor to get blood work your wrong. At least in the Atlanta area that is. There is a company called Any test with 10 locations that will do damn near any blood test. They just draw the blood and send it to the local lab. It saves you some money as in your not paying for a doctors visit. But your also not going to get an explanation or help-- just the results.

Audio8-- shoot me an email. I might be able to help you out with your blood work.

About 2 weeks ago I had a cholesterol check. I had been on anadrol, winny and test for a few weeks prior. My levels weren't bad, at least nothing close to yours. We all know steroids plays havoc on your cholesterol levels and that's why it's so important to eat right and get plenty of fiber.

ryker,
check your mail.....much appreciated heads up.

el cubano,
have you ever had your levels checked while on a cycle like that so you have something to compare to?

audio8 & others,

the studies i have are in a magazine, so i can't post them. but in the article they mentioned that normal levels rebound relatively quickly (within 3 weeks of discontinuance of winny - actually, stanozolal (winny) was the drug they used in the test).

it's also relatively straightfoward to understand. oral steroids (alkylated) all increase hepatic lipase activity (a liver enzyme that destroys HDL). but this increased activity will not continue after discontinuance of oral steroids...why would it??? so if the activity drops, your bodies natural production of HDL won't be counteracted by the increased hepatic lipase activity. furthermore, with the increase in HDL, LDL levels will fall back into normal range (remember they were raised in the first place by the drop in HDL levels - the carrier that effectively combats LDL). all steroids can affect cholesterol activity, but none so drastically as oral alkylated steroids.

I know of people with elevated total cholesterol, LDL, and triglycerides and low HDL even 7-8 months after the cessation of a cycle (test 3-4 weeks, deca 7-8 weeks, dbol 3-4 week duration on average). At least one had completely normal values prior to initiation of the cycle. Like any other chemical/drug AAS have different effects and side effects on different people. It can cause havoc with some people's lipid profile. Most of these negative effects on lipids should reverse or at least significantly improve by 2-3 months after the cycle is over; but like I said, I have seen patients with abnormal values lasting much longer than that.

interesting...i was just getting information from one particular study that i read. do you know why their body doesn't restore normal values?
