Will Carrying around big heavy bundles of Shingles build muscle?

Hey, Im just wondering if carrying around big heavy bundles of shingles for work will it actually build muscle in my whole body? ty everyone :)

Sure,
A bundle is what? - 60lbs? I remember seeing roofers carry two bundles on each shoulder (240lbs) up a 3 story ladder. I bet that would do wonders for GPP.

Sure it would. I used to make hydraulic cylinders for Joh Deere tractors and after lifting some of the heavier ones for a couple years I had some nice shoulders going. Pretty fuckin lean then too.

It will build muscle for sure.

Your biceps, traps, shoulders, lats and obliques will all benefit from the work once your body postively adapts to the work.

to a point, then it's a case of diminishing returns. you should be eating an extra 100 calories per half-hour for heavy labor jobs.

The body will adapt. I work a pretty solid job with lots of picking heavy shit up and jostling about big pieces of equipment and lots of shoveling. It will strengthen your body and build up your gpp. I'm finally almost fully adapted after 4 weeks of it and I feel pretty damn good. I can cut the rest down between sets now and still crank out max power.

I agree about the calories thing. Make sure you eat alot to sustain and build muscle mass.

i literally wasted away one summer. fresh outta high school, i got my first contractors job and spent the whole summer outdoors. i lost so much weight, i thought i was sick. and that's with aas. yup, eat lots, drink even more.

You should have groewn like a fucking weed, especially with aas, but like you said, you didn't eat enough. You also got really keep on top of staying hydrated.

Ian Harrisson who was one of the UK's top bodybuilders used to work construction. He was 280, ripped to the bone. Shows that it can be done.

Would house painting be considered hard labor? It certainly is exhausting, but it doesn't constitute hauling heavy weights. This will be my summertime job, and I know it will help me lean out a bit... I just dont want to loose too much mass.
