Wild Meat

deer meat is great for u, as long as it's not mixed w/ beef/pork, etc. i kill 10-20 deer each fall/winter and i eat about 1/2 during the year. the other 1/2 i donate or give to family/friends.

You can buy any type of meat online but although it is "game meat" it is not "wild game meat". (It's illegal to sell wild game products). The problem is that once you start farming deer or elk then the same problems as with beef arise: You have to give antibiotics when you have animals living in unnaturally high concentrations and they are fet commercial feed and bred to be larger.....since they can't excercise they are fatter. They will always be leaner than domestic animals which have been bred for centuries to have fat-marbled muscle, but most of the health benifits are lost.

I am a hunter as well...I prefer deer over beef anyday. It is way better for you and much leaner, and as far as red meat goes, I eat deer 3 times a week maybe 4 as a large meal. loads of protein, pig out! Buffalo is good too, but bigtime expensive. Tell your old man to bag a couple and hook ya up.
