I wear SWAT 9" tac boots when I train heavy on legs or deadlifts. the 3 inch steel shank gives lots of arch support and the ankle support and comfort is numero uno.
other than that its just Nike's or something
i lift 3 days a week and for 2 of those days im in bare feet for back and leg day...well i should say just with socks on........the other day is regular sneakers........
I'm in a plant 40-60 hrs. a week. When I leave, I'm not wearing steel-toes again untill the next day at work...although, I work for OSHA, and it would probably lower the insurance for gyms if they required members to wear steel-toes...
what about all the BBers who spend a bunch of money on gym wear..?its the same thing...i believe its an attention thing....
There was a bunch a Bbers at the gym with all there work out gear...pretty much a fashion show....
IMO...there nothing better than watching someone do reps with 600+ buried the way there supposed to be....and yes I've worn work boots to squat before.....I've tried expensive squat platform shoes but they had no ankle or lateral support either...
I saw a guy wearing open toed Sandals Thursday of last week he was a pretty big guy but besides being big now I am also convinced he is Nuts too! But to each there own I guess!
