Yeah.....if they encoded a "tone" at the beginning of the commercial that your reciever could pick up and auto-mute or turn it down.......and then return the volume to the same level after it was over.......

I agree man...one of my biggest pet peeves. I'll sleep with the T.V on every now and then and it pisses me off when a commercial comes on thats freaking 10x louder than the freaking program.

Remember that magnavox tv that came out a while back with "smart sound" would automatically adjust the volume to the same level.

I think they had a remote locator too. The commercial shoed a dude push the button on the tv and it beeped behind the curtains and a gorilla arm held out the remote. LOL

What happened to those ideas? Fucking great ideas!
