societal influences are probably an even bigger factor than both of those.

Leaving all of your friends, family, and social contacts, to go live in a country with a whole different set of laws, values, and customs would be more culture shock than most people could handle-especially when the only trade off is great gear. Ever see some of the gyms in foriegn countries? I've seen moderately priced apartment complexes here in the USA that have these lame ass weight rooms that absolutely smoke gyms overseas.

Also, theres a lot of other things here in the USA that we take for granted that are not necessarily a part of other country's priorities-like readily available jobs, food, and medical attention.

In addition, just because laws in other countries are lenient towards roids doesn't mean they're lenient towards other crimes. For instance, try bringing a loaded firearm into Mexico, or even bullets alone, and see what happens. Or just look at what happened to the kid that vandalized a few cars in Singapore(where you can be arrested for chewing gum or not flushing the toilet when you're finished) a few years back-what he would've gotten probation/restitution for in the USA he was sentenced to being caned/flogged. I believe he was sentenced to 6 lashes across the ass with a 2 inch round cane-(kinda looks like a pool cue) but after pressure from the USA I think it was knocked down to 4 lashes. Caning does break the skin and immediate med attention is required afterwards. I've seen pics of the damage-it's not pretty-and forget sitting like a normal person for a couple months. Americans, especially ones unfamiliar with other cultures, often don't realize just how good they have it in the USA.

Besides, within the USA there are still a few states where roid possession is a misdemeanor. If someone is that concerned with the legal aspects of roid use/possession it would be a lot easier to live in one of those states as opposed to getting citizenship or a visa to a foriegn country without giving up the great things the USA has to offer.

I also must comment on the stereotypes of Americans by those in foreign countries. As a result of the Iraq war we're not exactly winning the global popularity award. I know Americans that travel outside the USA regularly that have actually sewn Canadian Flags on their luggage so foreigners don't think they're American. Americans are thought to be larger than life in some counties(like Iraq, Iran), but that only seems to fuel their hate for us. In other countries we're thought of as loud, tactless, and ignorant, gun toting inbred hicks straight off the Jerry Springer Show. The USA's educational system can be blamed for our stupidity. In other countries it's common for people to speak 2-3 different languages-where Americans can barely speak proper English.

I believe Singapore has one of the lowest crime rates in the world. I also heard that it is very clean. I'm sure recidivism in countries like that is next to nothing compared to the horrible high rates in the US. But I am a proud American and wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

Mexicans aren't huge mostly 'cause aren't genetically gifted. If you think that in the U.S a bodybuilder makes little money, in Mexico they make about 10 times less. Mexicans have to address basic needs first (food, housing, transportation) in a country were incomes are way too short to support not only yourself but some family members too. The people who can afford to buy juice and supplements, usually do not have the time to spend too much time at the gym. Supplements in Mexico, such as protein and creatine, are about 50 to 70% more expensive than in the U.S. There is a shortage of gyms, and most gyms are not as nice as the average american gym. OHH by the way that is called infraestrcture.

We work our asses really hard, and believe me, for the most part I've ran into more ignorant poeple in the U.S. than in Mexico (not offense). If it makes you feel any better, I heard on the radio that the Mexican government is no longer handing out the "how to sneak into the USA maps" at the border.

And I feel your pain about Fast Food-which I rarely eat. Last night I ordered a $4 premium chicken sandwich from a barely english speaking employee at McD's. I get home and realize I got charged for the primo sandwich but the bitch gave me the cheapo $1 chicken sandwich instead.

I'm just familiar with the like minded individuals that feel this way because it's been a very big issue in AZ for awhile now. It's an almost daily topic in AZ's local media. Our government not doing it's job by keeping our border controled is just as much of an issue as people like myself that hire illegals to do my landscaping. Also for prego mexican women, the allure of having their baby born in the USA with automatic citizenship, free med care, food stamps, etc is just too good of an option to pass up. Especially when Mexico is way too corrupt and poor to offer these ammenities to it's people on it's own. The bottom line is that Mexicans coming into our country illegaly are criminals-and the USA is rewarding these criminals for doing so by giving them a chance at a better life here in the states-often at the tax paying citizen's expense.

The Mexican legal immagrants...have family in Mexico and illegals in the US...The hispanic vote will get you elected.....Don't get me wrong I'm a diehard conservative...but Bush has turned a blind eye to the border problems due to the hispanic vote in the US.
