Why is it that Many reputable boards bash Elite Fitness??

I am saying this calmly so bear with me here. I invite you to post three (3) topics or subjects that you have found on this board that you feel are original to this board. I would recommend the topics you said spurned you on to search medline for further information. My promise to you is that I can find three (3) threads on three (3) other boards that match the "original" threads you only find here on Elite

As for EF dominating the market, you have proved my point for me. EF is the only site that treats this as a "market". Read the pop-ups "paying for pink", and "secrets to buying steroids". The other boards out there make enough money to keep the site open. Yet they provide the same information we are looking for. I'm sure someone will go into the whole "capitalism at its best" rant. Spare me. You should be offended that this site tries to squeeze money out of you when there are so many other great boards providing the same information "for love of the sport."

As far as, "attracting the best and smartest posters". All I would ask you to do is please qualify that statement.

Sorry Gateway, but you aren't even out of short pants yet. Don't expect me to reply to your future posts. I don't find you interesting enough to debate.

Three original topics to EF:

1. Fonz's r-ALA/ALA BG study. He sent me a sneak peak at the paper and on Thursday the top BG medical device expert in the world termed it "brilliant." I think you all will be very impressed when when George posts in online.

2. Macro's research sites and arguements to support transdermal absorbtion for localized yohimbine hcl. It was flawed, IMHO, but well researched and fascinating reading.

3. The first hand diet board debate of DNP use by women with anorexia. To date I have not even seen this topic much covered anywhere else... whereas on EF it included several "first hand" accounts.

I could go on all day, but then... I'm sure you and I have VERY different backgrounds and find very different things of interest.

And of course you can "match" these topics or others on other boards. Once something interesting is posted here... it is often reposted on other sites. Your not supporting your point. You are weakening it.

I have noticed that many highly respected boards, constantly put down this Elite board. I have heard things like "elite shitness" etc etc. Why do these other boards do this? I think this is a good board. From everything i have heard i would never in a million years inquire about a source here, but the information flow and knowledge is great. I like this board despite every other board on the net bashing it. The info i learn here is great and indepth. Just my 2 cents.

You need to define your concept of "reputable".

If you're refering to any SM/CyberAS venture, then you're far too generous with the word reputable.

I belong to other boards but I tend to stay here. The size of EF means constantly changing posts. I'm sorry but a lot of other sites have to little traffic to keep my interest. Once I have scanned through I don't need to go back for 2-3 days because there won't be much new before that. EF does have a lot of flamming and it would be nice if it could be toned down some. BUT!!! When some idiot posts somthing like "where do I find fina kits"? they deserve to get flamed because it is obvious that they were just to lazy to do a search. I love to beable to answer a question for someone because I have learned so much from the guys who answered mine. I won't answer a question for someone who is to lazy to at least try.

What Elite is not good for is the constant flaming. Again IMO no question is stupid as the person who asked it needs to know so screaming dumbass and search etc etc all the time is not necessary.

I have to say I agree great information and the older members that have been here a long time give great advice and do not make new members and maybe less informed beginners feel stupid with every post.

From what I've seen and what you described above it is the guys that have been here for a little longer and seem to be trying to make a name for themselves that provide all the negative and rude replies!! " I know, run-on" This may be part of why some people badmouth the board!

I just read it and sometimes laugh and sometimes wish they would just back off. I do have to say the positives and helpful people far outweigh the " I'm God" types who think they actually run the board!!

One final thought, just cause you have 2,000 plus post doesn't mean you're a shareholder or something. The Moderators were selected for a reason, let them run the board.

I rarely post here but I'm a regular on other boards like fitnessboard.com(PhatSack) and Muscle Chemistry. This is a great board for research and there are alot of knowledgeable vets here. Yes there is flaming here, but what do you expect w/ all the traffic here?

Here is a VERY sound analogy. Elite Fitness is to discussion boards what GNC is to healthfoods/supplements.

Are they the biggest? Yes. Are they the best? Hell no.

They are both the ready made newbie hangouts, for people that are too lazy to do any research. They are both overpriced and turn their heads to what the hobby/sport is really about. They are both PC, and "too cool for school".

Elite Fitness is talked about, not because other boards are "jealous", but because this board is totally "vanilla", pristine, and generic.

Go to the other boards, and the most they will do is ask for donations or make their money through sponsorships, just to keep them afloat. They dont have bullshit pop-up ads that say spend $8.95 for this information/access, that is normally valued at $240. Give me a fucking break. Save that shit for the 3am infomercials. That is what this site is.

Yes, other sites, will have you PM the moderators for source checks or info. Isnt that what most people are looking for? No talk of sources on this board? Then what is the advantage? NOTHING!

Folks, spend some time and find a board that suits your needs. Chances are, this wont be the one.

Mods, I totally respect what you do and the time you put in. My hats off to you. But seriously, this is the most commercial, waste of a server I have ever seen.

IMO Elite has an excellent knowledge base and the search engine probably has the best database of information available anywhere. The NO SOURCE posting rule is EXCELLENT as thise who do allow it are inviting trouble and are used just to increase traffic with no regard to their members or safety.

There are two sides to AAS (one theory and the other experience) and sometimes these can be different per med and per user so there is no hard and fast rules so all should be listened too and treated with respect which unfortunately is not always the case.

Again this is only my opinion.
