Why I'm Against Space Travel Entirely....

my sperm aren't wirey. they are huge, look like cats. well... kittens. they just brute force their way along, but without gravity, they just spin in circles, playing tag and eventually tiring themselves out and dying a sad death after a highly uneventful life.

Happy Scrappy already hit on the biggest problem associated with space travel plans...it seems that osteoporosis sets in rather rapidly in a weightless environment. As soon as there is a pharmaceutical cure for Osteoporosis that can work as a preventative measure then we'll be floating.

The problem with artificial gravity is in designing such a station that could allow another ship to dock and then the occupants go from weightlessness to artificial gravity environment without a rather nasty form of vertigo.

I'm sure we'll work it all out. Who knows maybe they already have these problems solved at NASA.

Maybe... who knows what kind of concoctions they have going on over there with their $32.34 govt monthly budget at Nasa.

lol...do they have retractable claws......ouchie for the cervix.....but the vibrating purrring may be a plus...

I just read of a news study that shows the vibration that a cat purrs at is vauguely 60htz which is the ideal frequency for bone repair and density - so they are likely repairing themselves with that mechanism.

as for my sperm, no claws.

Yes Happy Scrappy that's true about the cat purr frequency. I've also heard it is the same frequency that stimulates healing of all sorts.

There is a massage unit sold for around a hundred bucks that runs on the same frequency. Might be worth a check.

I'm trying to remember the name of the thing. I'll report it when it comes to mind.

hmmm, shouldn't be too hard - wall current runs at 60 cycles and that is the buzz you hear when something isn't grounded correctly and has an audio out.

and yeah, read that it is a healing freq - not sure why... something to do with water, iron, or calcium I'd think since that is what blood and bone is.

has to have something to do with the resonance frequency?...rember that bridge that fell apart beacuse some band was goign across it and hit the same tempo as it reasonacy frequency.....anyone....anyone?:)

First on sperm knowing which way to go without gravity. If that were the case you culd just have the lady stand on her head for a while and all the sperm would swim out of the hole instead of toward the egg.

If the station is spinning, not a major task to accomplish, it would have a docking system similar to that used on Babylon 5. You would just start spinning the docking ship at the same rate and then dock.

As long as you have a constant 1g acceleratioin downward (from head to toe, there is no up or down in space) then your body would not know the difference between "artificial" and "real".

As for sex in space, how would you know it is not much fun Shaggs? I believe it would be quite fun and probably more exciting because you both would have to learn to work about the common cg of both bodies and that could really set up a rhytmic dance unmatched here on earth!
