Why email a mod if they never respond?

Everyone keeps saying they do it for free and that we should be thankful. I am thankful....... when I get a response. So what if they do it for free. They do it because the chose to. Not because someone offered them money. They wanted to help out the board and being a moderator is the best way to do that, but if they are not doing it then why should they be moderators.

Once again I will stress that this is only Directed toward some Mods. The ones who do respond and post know who they are. It is your fellow moderators who dont post anymore and dont help take the load off your shoulders that we are all talking about

Maybe you asked them a question that they don't want to answer because of the media or maybe they have lives outside of elitefitness. I kind of have this feeling that they do other things then check their elite mail 24X7. Give it some time and if you don't get a response then email another mod or you can email me and I will try to help.

I'd kind of like to make a point on what Johnboy's saying here. If you aren't getting the response you need from a mod, try a known vet that you see posting every day and you're always reading, thinking, "damn, is he a mod?" and you look and maybe he/she's not. Mods aren't the only ones here willing to help, or who can help.

I respond to every e mail or pm I get unless I get asked questions I will not answer or think I am about to get asked questions I will not answer. I will help anybody with anything to help them learn and advance but will never help them find anything illegal period.

I can't speak for everyone but I can tell you what I will never respond to.

#1 Anyone mailing me from an AOL account.

#2 Anyone mailing me from one addy and asking me to respond to another addy...cuz he's at work.

#3 Anyone asking me to give them a source.

#4 Anyone asking me to make their cycle.

#5 Anyone who has me listed along with 20 other people...asking us all the same question.

#6 Anyone that has very few Elite posts or does not give me their Elite name.

That's most of my reasons...true some of them are petty but I've been on this board since day one and have seen alot of faces, I do not have time to respond to every little thing unless it looks really important or I think you're going to hurt yourself. Again, I can't speak for everyone but I do not get any perks for this...yes I supply my time willingly and for the most part enjoy my limited time on the boards. I do not post as much as I could because there is rarely anything worth posting or commenting on. There are alot of m ods with Elite that are not qualified to comment on the proper use of gear, make sure the mod that you seek is not really a mod from the freak boards or the all popular chat boards.

This is blatently retarded thinking. Of course they want to do it. They also have lives outside of elitefitness.com. There has never been a mod that I have ever had a problem with. ever.

My favorite is when we see the threads for mods to email someone. I have seen this twice when a mod was on a vacation or just personal time. The moderators are not here to supply you with sources or confirmations. Thats just a bonus if you are part of the game. Most people dont like it, tough, thats life! If you get a reply great! If you dont then re-evaluate your question. These bro's are sticking their necks out wether or not you think so. Just transfer real life to this board and everyone should be fine. It not fair and sometimes it bites you in the ass. Thats life.

The question you have to ask yourself, is "would you do it? Day after day after day for years? would you? really? put in this much time for a few people you respect and a whole assload of people you dont know some of whom are complete pricks."

And another thing! Maybe you get a good source referal then you go and try to find another $5.00 cheaper a vial. Give me a F#$king break! Someone gives you a good source and that source comes through for you, then unless your getting assraped on price, which you shouldnt if you have spent any time on the boards, then you use that source. This shit of people collecting price lists blows my mind.

Or buying $200 worth of gear once a year and wanting to "get the best prices" What?! how about using that grey stuff above your neck. God forbid you spend an extra $20 on a legit and good source!

And dont give me the crap about "well if a source wants my business, blah blah blah" Were not buying shoes at the parking lot corner market or out of a van. Realize what your involving yourself in and act accordingly.
