Nelly popped a zit right before one concert, threw on a band-aid. People freaked out so he started doing it all the time. Then he started saying it was to symbolize his brother or someone that was locked up, probably to keep from looking like a tool.

If you really wanted to honor someone like that, a tattoo or shirt is wayyyy better.

Nelly does occaisionally come out with a hot 'joint' or two, but a GZA or Eminem quality lyricist he is not.
