i think its noones buisness but the individuals!

LOL Exactly. I can not believe there are people in the world who 'get mad' at others for wanting looking ripped or shredded.b Please people...:p

It's your decision, and yours only. Ok...you want to be huge and bloated? Fine! I won't call you a water grenade. But to come on an internet site and rant about how people like staying lean, I'm really wondering where the motivation came from in that respect. Why can't I cut for the beach? Why can't I cut for a vacation? Is there some rule out there that is keeping me from doing just that. I understand where you are coming from...kind of.. , but to each his own. cheers!

This post just hits on everything I beleive in about training. When you really think about it this game of ours (bodybuilding/competitive or just recreational) it is very political and almost religious. There are dozens of ideals and practicies with which we as individual bodybuilders have to sculpt our "gym philiosophy" around. Some people adhere to a training and diet regimine that prevents them from ever getting big, but allows them to be quite lean year round. Some people are mass addicts and don't mind carrying 12%bf so long as they're growing animals.

I personally have never seen the point in the perpertual cutter. Why go into the gym day in day out to not gain an ounce of muscle. Why sacrifice 5 pounds of muscle for an extra 1% reduction in bodyfat. Many people don't compete and have no need to be at ridiculously low bodyfat levels, but we see it all the time here on the board and in our gyms. Why are these people putting themselves through this? It makes you wonder whom they're doing it for and who they're really training for. Dieting to 8% or so(reasonable for most) is fine. It's a challenging new goal to keep your time in the gym exciting and fresh. But why this nonsense about going beyond that when there is no pay day involved and no judges to win over?

My philosophy since nearly day one of my training was to get f**k'n huge. Why the hell not? I'm putting a lot of my soal into this life, why not walk around and draw jaw dropping stares wherever I go. I'm putting a passionate dedication into my gym time, diet, and lifestyle, why not put all that effort and knowledge to work and get something truely remarkable to show for it. In my eyes 6%bf at 160 pounds isn't remarkable. We all went to school with kids whom already had this physique without ever touching a weight and simultaneously eating doughnuts and dorittos. If you're going to be using AS why not put them to work for you and see how muscle muscle you can grow? In my opinion that's more of a challenge than cutting.

Honesty compells me to say that if you feel you have to carry sub7-8% bodyfat in an effort to impress and even attract the opposite sex you are not only doing this for the wrong reason, but you're a weak individual and severly lacking in self-value. I think most of us know that it doesn't take much to impress people. The only person you need to impress is yourself. So if you're dieting to challenge yourself and find your pottential then more power to you, but if your the "I'm going on vacation and need to drop fat overnight" type then maybe you need to find your spine.

i agree with your phylosophy about gaining mass, but i think your gains will improve if you cycle your training into cutting/bulking. i dont beleave in perpetual bulking (im aware that you dont either) and i do like to drop my bf down to between 5-6%, and really do enjoy seeing every girls head turn when i pass by them in the club

No offense . . . But

Someone speaks the truth. I personally don't understand why people who aren't competitive or making money modeling cut so frequently and agressively. Just my view point here, but going on vacation, beach season, summer, or clubbing aren't legitimate reasons to cut. Unless you're fat, which most people who use AS and train hard aren't, there is no reason to kill oneself cutting trying endlessly to get to 5%bf. For what? Why not spend that time and energy to build something that actually looks impressive once it is cut. I've trained with and been around all types of people in the gym and to me the least impressive are the 150 pound "perpetual cutters" who think that because they have thier six pack they have acheived the pinacle physique. When you hang around guys whom are 240-250 pounds ripped and pushing 3 bills in the offseason you come to apreciate what ripped means. Ripped is not 5% body fat at 150 pounds....That's just called being tiny. I just don't get why people obsess with being cut year round and for no good purpose. If you've got a show there's a reason to diet. If you've got a photo shoot there's reason to diet. If you're >15%bf there's reason to diet. Otherwise why not try to get bigger if you're already a devoted and loving slave to the iron.

I usually here this from guys that are overweight or can't seem to cut. Some people would rather be 150 lbs (not me) but they feel good about themselves - why not?.
I dream of being 185 @ 5% BF I need 13lbs to go. I just think it looks cool when you are ripped and have a six pack. Just my .02

I just cannot help but shake my head and roll my eyes at guys who think 250mg test, 400mg deca and 20mg anavar is going to make them look better than 1g of test and an anti-estrogen will.

Sorry for the rant, just had to get some of that off my chest.
