Why does everyone want to run cutting cycles?!?

Why does everybody want to run cutting cycles!?!?
Why? Do you have a contest coming up? A photo shoot for a magazine or supplement company? Why do it!?

I see it all the time, so and so just finnished a bulking cycle and wants to start up a cutting cycle. WTF? Why? Why diet away hard earned (and paid-for) muscle using weaker drugs? The more muscle you carry, the faster your metabolism works and the more fat you burn at rest.

Rookie steroid users doing a "bulking" cycle for the first cycle to get up to 210lbs, and a "cutting" cycle for their second cycle to get back down to 200lbs. What is this nonsense? What happend to packing on as much muscle while staying hard? Why not put on as much muscle as you can until you have a legitimate reason to get down to 5% bodyfat? Unless you're 15%-18% bodyfat you have no business doing a "cutting" cycle. What you should be doing is concentrating on adding lean mass and not getting so damn bloated!

I've always held to the belief that the only thing the seperates a cutting cycle from a bulking cycle is DIET! It's not the drugs that alter your appearance, it's the sh*t you put in your mouth that alters your appearance. A cycle of test, tren, arimidex/aromasin/femara and watching carbohydrate intake while eating your weight in protein W I L L produce a quality physique.

I just cannot help but shake my head and roll my eyes at guys who think 250mg test, 400mg deca and 20mg anavar is going to make them look better than 1g of test and an anti-estrogen will.

Sorry for the rant, just had to get some of that off my chest.

I agree, diet decides results. Eat "everything in sight" is the advice you always hear when on test. Do that and you get fat.

Eat everything in sight on (insert favorite "cutting" drug here) you will also get fat.

Test with a clean diet and plenty of protien with anti e's will do wonders for you!
 
Yes yes and yes. I don't like to diet without a powerful androgen in there like fina. And I always bulk first then cut a bit to keep myself around the same bf% (10% or so) while I get progressively bigger. When I prep for a show though obviously I'll have to really cut. Obviously.
 
I agree. But, I do think it would be a good idea to try to put on lean body mass with some of the less androgenic steriods from time to time. As stated diet is key.
 
Someone speaks the truth. I personally don't understand why people who aren't competitive or making money modeling cut so frequently and agressively. Just my view point here, but going on vacation, beach season, summer, or clubbing aren't legitimate reasons to cut. Unless you're fat, which most people who use AS and train hard aren't, there is no reason to kill oneself cutting trying endlessly to get to 5%bf. For what? Why not spend that time and energy to build something that actually looks impressive once it is cut. I've trained with and been around all types of people in the gym and to me the least impressive are the 150 pound "perpetual cutters" who think that because they have thier six pack they have acheived the pinacle physique. When you hang around guys whom are 240-250 pounds ripped and pushing 3 bills in the offseason you come to apreciate what ripped means. Ripped is not 5% body fat at 150 pounds....That's just called being tiny. I just don't get why people obsess with being cut year round and for no good purpose. If you've got a show there's a reason to diet. If you've got a photo shoot there's reason to diet. If you're >15%bf there's reason to diet. Otherwise why not try to get bigger if you're already a devoted and loving slave to the iron.

my point exactly, why bother with expensive/harsh shit like anavars winny, fucking primo.....primo (chick drug), not to mention bros with 5 dollar bodies running sophisticated drugs like gh and the ever popular/non excesable masterone when a better effect can be acheaved with a gram of test along with anti-aromatise
 
Hey WCP, your a newbie......280 posts...hehe. Couldn't agree more with your point here, btw. Mass is where it's at.
