Why do my arms suck

My arms are the worst part of my physique (besides my calves) and it is starting to piss me off.

I've worked hard for five years, but if some kid new to lifting does curls for three months his arms will look just like mine. If he's wearing a tee shirt exposing the lower part of his arms, these guys' arms will look better than mine. I have great delts, so it stops there with these guys but I must lack in size and with the apparent bulge in a flaccid arm extending from the elbow. When I flex my arm, the head really pops out and then my arm looks real good but if just left flaccid it doesn't look like much.

In fact, I see guys all the time that at first glance look like they would have a good body because of their arms, but when they take off their shirt they look like shit. Fat, no chest development, no back development..etc. Ahh well, I had to ramble cuz, I feel better now. Fucking genetics
 
your arms may be the part that is hard to grow. mine are my shoulders, at some points they grow and them it seems like it dont matter what i do they dont grow or they get smaller. have you tried changing your routine? reps and sets? how about excersizes, and how often you train arms? are you talking just your biceps or triceps as well. i use to train arm together and now i train back and tri's and chest and bi's( little different) but i figure if i want them to all grow i want them to be as full of energy as possible to get the best lifts for them. so far its working. arms are 19 and chest is 50. im not the smartest on here but ill help as much as possible
 
learn to live with it. some people aren't meant to have proportionally big arms, doing 100's of sets of curls isnt going to fix shit if that's the way baby jesus wanted you to look.

next year I'm going to be benching 500 raw and STILL have smaller looking arms than johnny gino in his medium wifebeater. lucky for me I have twice as much muscle in my ass as most people to make up for the lack of arm size.. yeah. :heart:
 
good luck with hitting 500 in the coming year. i hope you do hit it, and when you do, post a video.

Good luck to both of yall and i dont know what to tell u jayhawk21 i have never had that problem, but then again i do as much non core as i do core which everyone says not to do.

Ha, seems to make some sense but I've never heard of anybody doing this. I've tried working them once a week, twice a week, 3 times a week, barely doing any ancillary work at all. I've tried all sorts of techniques, sets, burnout sets, 15's, heavy sets, cheating, perfect form with light weight. Anybody know of a good arm routine that they have done?

bro i have the same problem. i work the shit outta my arms and they dont grow much at all. they have definition and ok strength for my weight but dont look big. i know guys too that have big arms and look like total garbage underneath. genetics is a bitch, but just keep trying new things and stick with them for a while. just try to strengthen them as much as u can. with strength comes mass. plus i know that my arms grow bigger from exercises that use them secondarily like pullups, rows, presses and even deadlifts (especially for forearms). im no beast but just giving my 2 cents of what works for me.
 
my bi's are as follows, Preacher curl 3x10-15,Hammer Curl (heavy)3x10 (light) 3x15-20 Conc. Curl 3x10, i will switch out hammer curls with reverse preacher curls(3x10) very so often to stretch out my biceps. My tri's are a very simple "routine". Revers pressdowns 3x15, EZ Bar French Press 3x10, and Cable Pressdowns. ill throw in dips once in a while for a change up too. My Tricep workout is the same all the time. eventhough i know i should change it i still grow at a good rate and like they say "if it ain't broke dont fix it."
 
Can you post up some more info about your stats, eating habits, etc.? On the off chance it's NOT your genetics, maybe we can see where something is going wrong.
