Perhaps because the white race is composed of humans?? The black race espically ones in the "projects" are composed of brainless thugs that feel blaming whitey is their claim to fame. So sure when they see one they feel they are doing their part for their "downtrodden brothas" to beat someone up. Oh ya and if this post offends you I could care the fuck less blow me =).

I'm not trying to say that everyone in the ghetto is all nice and friendly, but the ghetto ain't exactly a nice and friendly place to live. Also you don't see any middle to upper class black folks driving through the ghetto, so it isn't really a black on white thing, it's more of a class thing if you ask me.

I accidently stumbled through Caprini Green... Here in Chicago... on my first weekend... I was hammered and walked right through the middle of the projects... I remember several black people looking at me as if I were crazy... but none advanced on me.
I suppose it was either 1. crazy white guy or 2. a cop
I agree with what is said above... no matter who you are, you should be wondering aimlessly through the "hood"... it's no place for white or black people.

What I find funny is most of you who say you haven't experienced any trouble in these areas have not been there deep into the night. Of course during broad daylight these places are exponentially safer.......but at night, when they think they can get away with it, look out. And it is a race issue......unless you're dressed like a bum. But do any of you honestly beleive that a moderate to well dressed white man could walk through some of the afforementioned projects at night?? You're kidding yourself. A well dressed black man might not get fucked with because they may look at him as a potential high ranking drug dealer, and fucking with him might bring trouble on them. Most white people can walk through Harlem just fine. The reason that inner city areas tend to be more dangerous is because they tend to be poorer, have more drug addicts, and be less well patrolled by the police. Rodeo drive is one of the richest areas in the world, and has none of these problems. It's not a question of race in this comparison, obviously.
There are plenty of very white areas that are as dangerous as Harlem, especially for nonwhites. Hell, Southie in Boston can be every bit as dangerous; imagine a black man walking through the wrong parts of that at night? There are racists of every color.

I have lived in both a very well to do area and a ghetto in my lifetime. During most of my highschool years I went to a predominately white high school. I had zero problems during my time in this school. Through forces beyond my control I was forced to move to the "ghetto". Now I was in a predominately black school. All of a sudden I was threatened for wearing a red shirt and witnessed a drive by shooting. Going through a metal detector to get into your high school doesn't leave the best memories. There were parts of the town where I was afraid to DRIVE down, much less walk. Everyone gave you dirty looks. There's no way in hell anyone can label me a racist who knows me. I don't believe because you are poor that you have the right to act like an animal and prey on others.

If you were walking down a dark street late at night and had a large sum of cash on you, and on one side of the street there was a group of white guys, and other other side a group of black guys, which side would you walk down? I've seen people get shot in front of my school, and have also been threatened on numerous occasions by young black males. I've known many outstanding black people in my life. So me being a racist isn't the issue. I've actually met alot more white assholes in my life than blacks. But entering a poor neighborhood(black or white)late at night doesn't set me at ease. The sad thing is it's usually a black neighborhood though I wish things could change...

To make race relations even worse, a force of blacks is beating the band for reparations for their enslavement. What a bunch of shit. I'm second generation American, my family is from Eastern Europe, why should my tax dollars be wasted on providing money to people who can't even prove they were descendants of original slaves. I guess the Gov't needs to find out who exactly imported the slaves, who actually owned them and who condoned that activity. I'm sure this won't be acceptable to the knuckleheads leading the push.
When my family came here to the US we all worked our asses off and made a business out of nothing. Furthermore, I am proud to say I've never accepted any government handouts either. My father has been robbed in our business several times, all of these robberies have been committed by blacks and our business is no where near the VFW (very few whites) section of the city. It is really unfortunate, but I certainly become more vigilant when a black enters our store and I doubt I will change anytime soon.

if they have drugs to sell then they arent usually gonna fuck with any white people that come into their neighborhood.. its bad for business. why? cuz white people account for most of their drug sales. most ghettos have a few brothers on every corner just waiting for white people to buy drugs from them.
