i have often wondered this myself, i know that if i owned one of these i certainly would be paying alot of traffic tickets.
Why build fast, expensive cars if you cannot even begin to tap their potential?

If I could afford that car and the insurance to go along with it I would be getting tickets all the time. I think I've only seen an exotic being driven fast once. 99% of the time I see 70K + vehicles going slower than me in a honda.

Anyway, my husband just got a 2003 Corvette Coup. It's so beautiful. It's black and has a black interior. The insurance is not bad at all, it's actually very good, we live in New York.
We both drive it and we can't get it above 80. The problem is the cops are always on the lookout for these types of cars. You have no choice but to do the speed of the traffic around it. What is great about the car is the pickup. When we are driving it we know that if we need to get out of a situation fast, that the car has the potential. The first day he got it he got pulled over. It wasn't for speeding. It was because he refused to put the license plate on the front, where it says corvette. The officer was cool though and let him go.

Anyway we have tons of pics. I will upload some to you tonight, if I can figure out how. We call it one of our children. We have 7 all together. 4 cats, 2 dogs and a corvette. When my Mother in Law starts begging for her grandchildren my husband always says, " you do have grand children, 4 cats, 2 dogs and the corvette."
It usually shuts her up. Until that car goes bye, bye we can't afford any kids.
