Why aren't there more black people on this board?

The thing that puzzles me is where did Jackson and Sharpton get their power from. Somebody had to put them there or supported their views. Strange to say the least. I'm not generalizing here but through my work and my exposure to the black population it seems more times than not that the less higher education a black person has the more inclined they are to support Jackson and Sharpton. That's just my experience and totally my opinion so please don't anybody be offended

Yes, the less education someone has, the more likely they are to agree with someone just because he is Black/Democrat/Catholic/Insert adjective here......(as they are not able to understand the real issues at stake) . A lot of people support them for their own reasons. I have a friend here who works for a minority owned investment banking firm. This asshole slipped Jesse Jackson some money because he knew "The Rev" would put some pressure on a certain company about minority contracts and he wanted to be on the ground floor when it went up. How the hell can you run a business that unethically? It didnt work out but that shows the kind of scum who float on top of the water. The sad part is that this CEO will again be held up as a "black leader" and will be thought of to represent black people. BTW..said CEO is a republican! IMHO colour is pretty irrelevant, most blacks group together because they come from a certain similar status or economic group..not because they are all black...

I know a guy who grew up in Guinea.. he speaks 11 diffrent languages.. he knows more about American History than anyone I know. His skin color is black.....

down the road from where he grew up there is a man running around throwing sticks at animals.. and shoving plates in his head.

See... things are the same wherever you may go.. color to color.. race to race... it is all the same...

You have your white trash.. your niggers.... they are the same.

I think the ignorant ones are the ones who cannot talk about problems like these without getting offended.

(by the way.. my friend really can speak 11 diffrent languages.. like you manfromyard.. he is not from America. It is hard for him to understand all of these problems.)

About your CEO friend, I know how that works but I don't buy into it because I don't believe in it. But really, that is how business and politics work. It definitely isn't what you know...It's who you know. Color is irrelevant and I have stressed this from day one of being self-employed. All I ask for from people is their best and at least be presentable. Sadly though, it's getting harder and harder to find people who are motivated to work. I literally clinched my fist and grind my teeth when somebody quits or moves on because I know all of the frustrations that I am going to have to deal with in order to find another employee. With all of the supposedly unemployed people around, I have one question! Where the Hell are they? Not here, that's for sure! LOL! Props to manfromyard on your beliefs and accomplishments!

And there don't seem to be any black males. I think there might be one or 2. Why is that?

You make a lot of assumptions, that is the problem. You seem to assume that everyone is white unless they state that they are black or show a pic.

For instance, I am black and you may have assumed that I was white.

Best bet: don't worry about it, it is totally irrelevant!

I've been told I look like the Juice. He also has always been one of my favorite athletes (1994 notwithstanding), so I usually use his pic for my avatar.

Mine too.. I still like him.. fuck it. I was cheering for him in the white Bronco..

I still really dig the TV Commercial where he is running through the airport.

just cause he was accused of a horrible crime does not mean he did it/ or he is not one of the greatest men ever to pick up a football.
