Vast majority? You mean those few clips they showed of a roomful of college students? I think those that cheered (black and white) were happy to see one of their sports heroes who, by the way, was found not guilty and plead innocent, get off.

To answer question like, "why do black people support the likes of Jackson and Sharpton?" #1, I as a black man listening to what they say and agree with less of it, as most educated blacks do. #2, The reason that lower than middle class people listen to them are first as stated is the media portrays them as "black leaders" and they are quote end quote "about the CAUSE."

What is the "CAUSE" anything that puts blacks in a better light or speaks of equality. These two speak to lower educated blacks because they will listen to anything that sounds good without disecting the whole meaning or listening to both sides...because Sharpton and Jackson show a similiar face that they see every morning....a black one, so they must be trying to help us, right.(wrong, this is America, make your money how you can...lie,cheat, get over on your own people....shhhhhheeeeesssh!)

This is actually not the majority of blacks that believe or listen to these pompus fools...it's the minority % that you see ranting and raving. As long as these two keep running to the media..."with-I-have-something-to-say speeches, the media will gladly put there comments on screen to increase ratings.

I appreciate knowledge be that from blacks or whites. There is discrimination on both sides of the fence but the fact of it is that blacks will receive and have received it more through and over time.

I think it has to do with established policies that inherently discriminate against so called "minorities". If you drive down the street in a ritzy 'hood, you would not get pulled over. If I did the same thing, my chances of getting pulled over, even if I did nothing wrong, ar greatly increased.
The discrimination against whites by blacks is a social thing, just words and sayings, not actions. I'm not saying it's right, just that no legal action can be taken against someone's opinion.

As for Sharpton and Jackson... how did Hussein come in power? Preaching to the desperate and uneducated. Same thing for those two..they amassed power from a desperate people in the US.

I like they way peeps discussed this, no name calling and all that.

I'm not generalizing here but through my work and my exposure to the black population it seems more times than not that the less higher education a black person has the more inclined they are to support Jackson and Sharpton. That's just my experience and totally my opinion so please don't anybody be offended. My employees are very loyal to me because of the respect I give them but then there are some that aren't worth the toilet paper I wipe my ass with but that can be said about whites as well as any other race. Give me some opinions and for other mudslingers out there, please keep this thread civil. Thanks!

I think this goes for anyone regardless of race. The less educated you are the more easily you a swayed by a Pied Piper so to speak. Of couse I don't think this is written in stone.
