Why aren't there more black people on this board?

Jesse Jackson,Al Sharpr=yon, et al do not represent all black people..they are not elected officials...just dumbfucks who run off at the mouth..No-one elected them "black leaders". Most blacks with sense do not want to be associated with these kind of people...

I'm glad you posted this! In your opinion, why do the blacks let these people speak for them? It seems to me that everytime one of the individuals(listed above) opens their mouth or takes on a certain cause, they just dig themselves deeper into others despising them. I just want an opinion. Personally, I have no use for them but I am white so that really doesn't count.

Your right, most of the blacks with sense do not want to be associated with sharpton and jackson. Unfortunately a large percentage of the black population seem to support and respect these guys.... I guess this means the majority of black people do not have any sense.

I cant count how many times I read about some one posting "How stupid blacks are" or "how all you have to be is black to get stuff". I am black..not African-American..born in another country. BTW.."Black" is also a bit limiting...I was not born in US and have been told by most people(including African-Americans) that they do not consider me "Black". If you are of african origen bur born and raised somewhere else..e.g. Sammy Sosa, Tito Trinidad..People (and maybe even yourself) do not think of you as "Black"..Somehow only African-Americans are black....go figure....

YES.. you are right... I would not want some ignorant motherfucker like Jessee Jackson as the standing voice for my race either. I am not saying that all blacks agree with him... but lets face it... he IS the political voice for alot or most black folks.

And onto Humorme's question, let me assure that all us black folk did not have a meeting and agree to Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton speak for us. They are individuals so can say what ever they want to to those who choose to listen. Just because they share my race doesn't mean the speak for me if they've implied it or if you in some other way came to that concluision. And not one black person I know would want those 2 speaking for them and believe I know a lot of black people. How many do you know? But attitude to answer the orignal question is goes to why there aren't really many black people here. Most don't want to be on some so website, where they don't feel welcome and totally predjudged.

Many blacks are victimized by the cops..I have been pulled over and threatened by quite a few redneck cops. The decision to loot though is an individual one. Those were just asshole opporunists who happened to be black..There were peole of other races(Hispanic etc. who took advantage of the situation too..).

Newspapers and TV news meed viewers and readers..They know that people will look to see what Sharpton,Jackson,etc. say ,love them or hate them,just to see how big a fool they make themselves....



That's how racism gets advanced, because the rest of the country thinks that they speak for all black people. If the head of the KKK or the NRA spoke I would not think that they represented all White Americans... Hell the majority of the people in this country voted for Gore...So why do you allow BUSh to be President??? That's just the way the world is....

Good points. The reason I ask these questions is because I have alot of blacks that work for me and they basically say the same thing as you and manfromyard and we live in the South where there is an ample amount of racism. There is even a boycott going on from the NAACP about the flag situation here but that's another subject. The thing that puzzles me is where did Jackson and Sharpton get their power from. Somebody had to put them there or supported their views. Strange to say the least. I'm not generalizing here but through my work and my exposure to the black population it seems more times than not that the less higher education a black person has the more inclined they are to support Jackson and Sharpton. That's just my experience and totally my opinion so please don't anybody be offended. My employees are very loyal to me because of the respect I give them but then there are some that aren't worth the toilet paper I wipe my ass with but that can be said about whites as well as any other race. Give me some opinions and for other mudslingers out there, please keep this thread civil. Thanks!
