Since all of you are on this thread I want to ask a question that you can shed some light on.

What are your feelings when pulled over by a white cop and being pulled over by a black cop, at seperate times of course?

We always hear and/or read about racial profiling on blacks or any other race for that matter. Do black and white cops treat you the same or is there a difference? This is something I have always thought about when I see a person(black or white) that has been pulled over by a cop. Are you more likely to act "bothered" if it is a black or white cop. Of course nobody likes to be pulled over and I have been pulled over before but I have always been in the wrong but I am getting off the subject. Anyway, tell me the difference! Thanks for taking the time to answer.

Well it's actually it's F/N Show but that's ok. Now I have no problem with good cops who are fair and don't fuck with you for no reason but my experience with those type of cops has been minimal. I've been pulled over somewhere from 75-100 times over the course of my life. Maybe 5 of those times it was by a black cop. But at least when the black cop pulled my over it was because I did something work. Some of the BS I've been told I was pulled over

1) I was driving kinda slow (going the speed limit)
2) Driving erratic (making a lane change using my turn signal)
3) I looked like I was lost
4) I fit the description

Did I get a ticket or arrested for any of that? Of course not, because the cops were just fucking with me. It comes with the skin color. I didn't trip because that would've just made things worse. As long as you are polite and your shit is correct, 95% of the time everything will be cool, but profiling is still bullshit.

Profiling has never bothered me at all. If there is a guy out there that looks like me committing crimes, I want his ass off the streets. If I fit the description & am showing suspicious behavior, then I probably should be pulled over. I'm not mad at the cop, I'm mad at the guy out there doing bad stuff giving me a bad name.

Fortunately I am a "low-risk" motorist, driving a family car, kids, etc. and I don't show suspicious behavior. Therefore I have seldom been pulled over, and when I have it usually ends with the cop apologizing and me thanking him for doing his job.

Sorry about the typo! Damn, 75-100 times! That's got to suck big time. Profiling has it's pros and cons. As ttlpkg pointed out....that's a pro but then I know the cons about it can be irritating as well. Like I said, I have never had to deal with being pulled over because I looked suspect but then again maybe I should to be exposed to what some of you have gone through. I think the only times I have been pulled over because I looked suspect was when I was teenager and they probably had every right to do that.
