Why are they still offering new computers with Windows XP on them??

i dont really even want vista....i don't like learning a new OS where they friggin moved everything around....especially when they've just added a new layer of dumbed down shit to help the average retard use his computer....
but I figure i'm just delaying the inevitable

bingo

:rolleyes:

when i bought my new computer it was the day vista came out...and no its not because i have to have to latest and greatest. i was shopping for a new computer the friday before and all the computers in all the stores were GONE except for floor models. they told me they sold all the ones with xp because the vista comes out monday and theres no sense having the xp ones around. so i like a dumb ass waited. well vista sucks ass. just when i thought i had a good deal on a complete system with flat lcd monitor i then realized i needed a new video card and more memory. who the fuck sells a brand new computer and right out of the box has to upgrade it??? its slow, choppy and im sorry i bought it. i should have took the hell of a deal they were trying to give me on a floor model with xp on it.

I still buy our company PCs with XP on them. Most businesses don't upgrade operating systems until the first service pack comes out. Dell's customers pressured them into doing it.

We upgrade PC's over a two year period and most of them just barely meet the Vista specs.

same here

our comps are on a 3-year recycle plan and we are not going to roll out Vista until SP1 hits but our new machines have enough power to run Vista

meh...maybe i'll wait another year....i don't see any software i need being only capable of running on vista

def worth the wait

there are still lots of program incompatibilty issues

You don't want no vista jerky. They just add a bunch of flashy crap that makes you run slower. It's just like CS2 (CS3 soon). Photoshop 7 is a rocket compaired to CS2, and there's not a lot different in functionality.

I assumed if I bought a new machine that it would be Vista....but lots of sites out there allow you to choose. I don't get it, why are they still shipping XP? Does Vista suck that bad?
Because XP is better.....

i'm still only up to CS....i think I'm gonna skip CS2 altogether...

You may as well, since 3 is almost out. I got 2 from limewire, but don't tell anyone. Lemme know if you want a copy for educational purposes.
Edit: Oh yeah IllustratorCS2 is way better than CS, simply for the Trace features. If you work with line art it fucking ROCKS!
