BTW-
Any of you fuckers who really thinks Slavery and segregation, the legalized and Gov sanctioned oppression of a whole ethnic group over some 300+ years, did NOT cause the problems we are seeing with this group in America today... You are a fucking idiot. Seriously, you are a fucking idiot.
I did a burial the other day in a real old country cemetery here in alabama
while I had some free time a walked around the cemetery(the oldest marker I spotted had a birth date of 1798) and at the far end there were many graves marked with nothing but rocks
and in one particular area one grave with a large slab(expensive) surrounded by slave graves(the graves marked with rocks)
point being the plantation owner was buried with his slaves and/or the slaves were buried amongst the family of the "owners"
because they were family and treated as such
the stereotypical view of southern slavery as being repressive and cruel (such as depicted in "roots") is quite incorrect
for the most part the slaves were well treated, cared and provided for
and for hansel I also in the same cemetery spotted a soldier killed in action in biesingen, germany march 18 1945
I had to go back and research that as his death was so close to the war's end
assaulting the siegfried line in the saarland
the town(biesingen) was totally destroyed
