Just like someone mentioned earlier, the weight you see in the pictures of the magazines are just for the camera. They want to give the public a look of perfect form. This way they cut out most dumb injuries that might accur during the picture shoot.

Powerlifters are very strong but not that huge (muscular wise), while bodybuilders are huge they aren't as strong. Something has to be going on in there.

Seen Dave Fisher recently.......the bros very strong.............also see kovacs!

That is a very interesting article. I wonder why the magazines don't make that more known to the public? Thanks for the good read! You should post that in a new thread so others can read.

This is a very respectful counter post I must say. I wonder if thicklee would post such a retraction statement.

I usually don't respond to such opinionated topics but here it goes. Most photo shoots are done after a major competetion that is why the bodybuilder are so ripped. The weight they use is light because of the intense strain it takes to compete then do a photo shoot, where you lift weights for hours to get the proper angle symmetry and flex. This is why the weight is very light, In an article with Tom Prince and I think David Derth they explained how they go light at photo shoots so they don't rip anything because their bodies are still recooping from the severe dieting and dehydration factor.

In general bodybuilders are very strong, but they are not as strong as powerlifters, because powerlifters train to lift maximun weight, were as bodybuilders go for size leaness and symmetry.

Alex, if I were you I'd seriously consider shooting myself. Have you noticed that everyone hates you and think you're a fucking retard (that's right, I sweared, cry about it if you like)??

You keep reading and viewing pointless shit and everytime you come back a bit dumber. You never seem to learn anything.

Lots of bodybuilders go heavy...lots go light with high high high reps.

Who awakened this thread from the dead? I remember this from over a year ago. How embarrasing for SSidiotSS. I hope you have learned a little since you posted this...

I don't know where you got the impression they're weak...
IF you saw some Dudes in gym's curling this... and thought (man they're weak) maybe it was the end of the work out, stirp sets or something of that sort... When I do my strip sets at the end of my work out, I usually use really light weight! And I'm sure guys in the gym are watching thinking (wtf??? I can lift more than that!) But if they worked out with me... they wouldn't even lift there arms at that point in my work out!!!!
