Who's the best drummer???

Neil Pert is usually considered the best whenever you ask music snobs this.
John Bonham was pretty damn solid back in his day - but it depends if you are looking for sheer speed, best sound, most power, or just creativity (or multi-rhythmic aptitude).

Def Leppard's drummer (Rick Allen) lost his arm in a car crash - and then came back through retraining and a computer aided setup that would play the equiv of the other hand with the help of sensors and some foot pedals.

Alex Van Halen did some cool shit - not sure if he did it all the time, but for the intro to Hot for Teacher - he has two bass drum rigs, and for each one, there are two bolted together, so it gives it an interesting double thump and echo for each one hit

I have to say the best is Niel Pert, BUT, I would rather listen to Danny Carey of Tool. For Jazz, Jack Dejhonnete "sp?"

Whiskey

I forgot Phil Collins back in the day.. Pretty smoooth
He had powerful bass(with help I believe) on the "I don't care anymore" rhythms

I would say hands down Danny Carey of Tool is the best modern rock drummer.

Honorable mentions go to:
Neil Pert
Lars Ulrich
