wtlftr, I think I speak for all when I say we would need to see pictures in order to provide you with rational, thoughtful feedback on the issue ; )

FL does have some colorful laws & the tricky thing is they vary widely from county to county & even among different cities in the same county. In some cities, walking around with a beer/drink in public is fine---in the city next door you'd be fined or even jailed for having an open container, so it makes sense that the nudey policies are screwed up too ; )

Yeah, I thought 'moe dank' was in tampa...but I am not sure. I know he was here for a while, then left, then reappeared sporadically. Hope he ended up OK wherever he is.

I have a lot of friends in your part of town; a few guys I was in the Army with live in Ft L.

miami is awesome. i want to transfer to UM for the social and cultural aspects but it's too expensive for the quality of education.

if i can't find work in manhattan i'll probably end up in miami. san fran would be tight too but it's a dying city.

Mylife, UM is OK, but you are right about the cost effectiveness issue & though they have a well known football team I'm not sure its THE best place for academic repute---but again, its not the worst either. If you wanted an international MBA & your goal was specifically to crack into one of the major companies with a Latin American focus then it wouldnt be bad. A cheaper alternative is FIU (the public university in Miami): this is a large (40-50,000 students) research institution with VERY reputable programs BUT outside FL, Latin America & the Caribbean no one has heard of it. I understand UF is starting an MBA satellite program in the area---but the state schools will really nail you with out-of-state tuition---but it would still be cheaper than UM.
