yes but he is a democrat + black, therefore he gets the black vote, which is most all of western TN mainly Memphis, which is a large percentage of the states voting population.

So it may be closer than people realize.

But he is a dem who actually has a bright future. This is because he is not a knee-jerk liberal. He is fairly conservative on many issues. This pays dividends in a state like TN.

He was one of the first (and only) prominent dems to call for an apology from John Kerry last week.

He is a future candidate for VP or POTUS.

He works the skyboxes at UT football games fairly hard. He doesn't seem too sincere, and he sure tones-down his liberal retoric when he's up there. To hear him speak around conservatives, you'd think he's somewhere to the right of Ronald Regan and just shy if Rush Limbaugh. Then, you see him on CNN or Fox News and think: "what the hell????"

Actually we sometimes do!

We were supposed to be packed with customers for the LSU game, and they canceled-out at the last minute. I bet we only had 8 people total up there.

I'd be fine with that. If I remember correctly you tailgate the games anyway. Before the next game, PM me your cell and I'll call if we have a spot. We reserve the seats for customers (sometimes I give up my seat as well), but sometimes they cancel or we have extra.

cuz once again - democrats are stupid, and prove it once again by always fucking up an easy election. they're good at that.

if it was the other way around - the repub's would've destroyed the democrats, if there was a war, everyone hated it, and the president was Democrat.
 
Its the difference between Complicated vs Simple razor.

They say things like God and Patriotic and get 30% of the votes,
even if they ran a Jeffrey Dahmer type up there as a candidate.
 
Still too close to call the Senate, but the House went to the Dems! It's down to Missouri, Montana, and Virginia.
 
By the way, the number of incumbent Democrat Representatives who lost tonight is zero.

those are Democrats in power who hold republican seats...if you knew anything about politics,you wouldknow this.
 
It does indeed favor the Dems right now.

Jim Talent (R) just conceded... so its 49-49.

Webb (D) has the margin over Allen (R) and there almost no votes left to be counted.

And Tester (D) leads Burns (R) with just 65% of the votes, but a 4% lead.

if not. very little will change in washington. So celebrating would be pointless. Repub's still have Bush and the Senate - so still have all the power. The house can pass whatever the hell bill htey want. won't matter.

that is what I thought, the balance of power remains the same, so the House of Rep. is basically useless.

More or less the same thing happened here (sort of) and that is when they came with the glorious idea of a "Coalition"
