I just wish it was sunnier up there. There is a lot of fog in the city. That is why I want to head south to Santa Barbara.

That sux bro; we are having weird weather here it is normally high 90's by now but today will max out at 84. Too cold for me to get my nutz in the pool. I hate cold water.

That's what I was thinking! Ill keep ya posted as I get more details. It'll be an official visit for my son to a school down there and he's always anxious to get rid of me!! lol
 
My step-daughter came home driving her moms new Honda that I bought her before we split up and I noticed that somebody stole the H logo off of it. I know I'm a dick for saying it, but her constant misfortunes have me dying of laughter.

after almost 2 years as a firefighter, i pulled my 1st doa victim from a car.. that is after we cut the car out from around her so we could.. she was deceased before we even got the call, tragic really 31 yrs old 2pm, 2 lane road guy that survived in the other car as we cut him out and transported him kept saying "I fell asleep, I fell asleep....".. drifted and head on 60mph x 2...

anyway, when i was pulling her remains from the wreckage (i was 1st in line) every single bone in her body was broken from the head, neck, shoulder, arm, ribs, hips legs, every single point of her body that i touch in an attempt to extract her from the wreckage was broken...

I always use the saying " I did not cause this situation, I did not put you in this situation, I'm simply here to help" only real issue i had/have is i have a 30 yr old daughter... if nothing else, their lives are changed forever...

She did have her seatbelt on, air bags deployed, she was one of those people that sit so far forward that both were ineffective..

I'm good couple of guys respond the same as I do.. in the end i figured out that what was worrying me was I thought I'd be more emotional, and the absence of that emotion or rather the expectation of that emotion missing had me worried..

Seems I'm just a cold hearted bastard.. not really, i'm just able to put my feelings aside for the moment and get done what has to be done.. that's all..
 
I typed out this whole long response ...lucky for everyone the site took a shit before it posted

my first 5 or so calls ever were DOA's ...first one was a 34 yr old woman that had been dead a few days

what bothered me about that was she was young, recently out of the hospital and no one noticed she was missing for a few days
and her niece and nephews get well drawings on her fridge
 
I don't know if I could handle a job like that. I guess you'd get desensitized after a bit, but hell. And I definitely could not handle it if it were children.

Have a great Tuesday everyone. Today is my Friday and for the first week since Easter, I get 2 days off this week. Pro;;y gonna get shitty with the lady and give her 3 minutes of heaven tonight :)

yep, did a doa a 35 yr old man deceased 2 weeks.. know what i learned on that one from the coroner?? he grabbed the legs.... always get to the legs for the lift before the coroner, otherwise you will get the head..

No shit. Finally! Went to a St. Cloud Rox game last night. Sports deck on my lady's company dollar. Tons of free food and beer. Good time. Just gave the lady a few o faces and she's out cold. Now I'm on the porch with a Sierra Nevada Torpedo and hitting a 1E before bed. Life is good! Oh and hit the gym for back and rode the new mtn bike for about 2 hrs today. Spent.

I want to gather up these "free" news paper bullshit the drop in my driveway every week for about 1 year and dump them in the driveway of the knob that delivers them.. putting trash in my driveway is not acceptable..

It's always humid as balls here. I lived 100 yards from san clemente beach in Cali and there was no humidity.

I live 5 minutes from the coast in TX and the humidity is unbearable. Makes sense...

Weather is pretty damn great here, at this usually "frozen land" too, nearly 30 Celsious degrees (I don't remember how to convert temperature units atm.). Getting a bit too hot and humid for my taste actually...
Can't complain about women loosening their clothing and letting the sun shine on 'em. Besides, got to enjoy the heat wave now that I can, there will always be that damn long cold winter, after a few great months again. Or, maybe I will finally move to Spain for winter. Well, will see...
