I work in the dairy dept. of the food warehouse of the biggest grocery retail chain in ontario, canada.
And I'm bulking right now.

I steal stuff all the time. I know it's morally wrong, but I don't care. I'd feel bad if I got caught but that's it.
I steal office supplies mostly. But if I knew I could get away with it, I'd steal a computer or even one of the vending machines from the lunch room.

I usually will steal only when I feel I've been wronged by a party or when a party owes me money. Say if an employer owed me 100 bucks, I would take 100 dollars worth of items from them, and forget the money owed...

When I worked at Motorola, I swear - honest to God - that you HAD to be a thief to work there. I am not kidding. The employees were robbing them blind. Out at the Norcross plant, where they did all their shipping and receiving of two way radios and mobile phones..... It was nothing for them to do random box checks and find empty boxes being shipped out. Not to sound racist or anything... but.... they mostly hired low end uneducated section 8 dwellers to work there so they could pay them $10 an hour. But I swear that some of this people had more cell phones than gold teeth. I only had to go out there every now and then, but the first thing I noticed was that EVERYONE carried a metal lunch box big enough to pack a picnic for 12 in. Once they banned those..... everyone's feet magically grew 4 sizes bigger. Everyone wore steel toe boots that were so big that you could see their toes bending and flexing way back in the area where their arch should have been. The shoe bomber had nothing on these people. You could network the mafia on the toe contents of their boots.
And in all fairness the corporate office was just as bad. Paper clips and office supplies were not shit. Just for the newly found klepto addicts. I am talking laptops, projectors, CD burners, small size laser printers, etc.. all grew legs and walked off into the woods to meet a Blair Witch fate somehow. One printer was stolen right out from under my nose. I was printing a report and walked around the partition were the printer was located. There was one job printing and mine was next, so I walked into the bathroom, took a piss and stopped by the water fountain, came out and the entire printer was gone. No kidding. And then - GET THIS - I had to prove I was not the one who stole it.
My last job, my buddy would have the security guards help him load stuff in the car. I was fucking amazed. Security either didn't know (which would amaze me) or didn't care.
I took a couple of things but I justified it in my own mind. I took a couple of cables which nobody cared about. I used to burn cd's for personal use. I also took a couple computers that were supposed to be destroyed. They were end of life'd and were written off. Better me than the trash.

Oh, also I stole some paper from work. I asked my boss for some sheets of white paper so I could write down the stuff he needed me to do this week. I wrote very small and only used up one sheet and took the other home for my printer. You all wish you could be as slick as me.

I thought of this thread last night. Why you may ask? Well, because I just found out I got passed over for a promotion twice over. First, they promoted a guy who was a month behind me in becoming mgmt and was for damn sure not as sharp at all the paperwork BS to a new position making 10k more a year. This left a space open in his old position, which paid slightly more than I'm making. Did I get moved into that? NO!! They dicked me again and moved somebody who was 6 months behind me and who I know isn't an angel when it comes to work habits!!!!!!
Why'd they do this? The only thing they've got on me is I got "upset" the last time they moved people and I got screwed. But I still came to work and worked better than anyone else. Is it any wonder my attitude is shitty sometimes when they keep BENDING ME OVER?!?!?!?! ARRRRRRRRRGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So now I'm REALLY all about the above quote. If I could embezzle the 10k a year w/o getting caught I probably would. FUCKERS. I know, I probably shouldn't steal ANYTHING, that's not the answer right? I would love to find another job and give the whole company the finger, but I'm having trouble finding positions I have any chance of securing. It sucks, I'm trapped in this hellhole and they probably know it.
