yeah...I wouldn't change where I live for anything but we really are getting pounded in the ass with snow this winter in the northeast.
lotta roof collapses here as well... a big commercial horse barn just had to put a horse down because their steel building pole barn collapsed last night with the horses in it (think 50 thousand dollar animals)
it blows my mind because low pitched roofs aren't the norm here
you can't buy a roof rake or a snowblower in ct pretty much anywhere
I wound up buying a huge squeegie (sp?) and that was used on our roof..and really just as precaution because our roof pitch is really steep.
luckily a lot of the huge banks around here have been kept up with with dump trucks and payloaders
