Who lifts EOD??

whats up fellas. im having trouble designing a new workout schedule. Im usually an every other day lifter, and that works great for me. if i train more than that i overtrain easily. but here's the question: i'm starting a cycle soon(and no im def NOT a newbie) and im not sure how to plan my lifting schedule for this one. i know that working out EOD works for me, but i also dont want to waste juice. ive heard of people adding an extra day when they are on, but ive also heard of people adding extra resting days while on. im just looking for opinions, especially from guys who usually lift EOD.

What's up,

I also workout every other day and it works fine for me. I also take two days off after I finish an entire body workout. You definitely need to rest.

I'm a big fan of EOD weight training....been doing it for years and have has great results from the split.

Here's my personal routine:

Day:1 Shoulders/Arms
Day:3 Legs/Lower Back/Abs
Day:5 Chest/Back/Calves

Days 2,4,6,7 get 60 minutes of morning cardio. Also, Chest/Back are done in compound sets (1 set chest, 1 set back, 1 set chest, 1 set back, etc), Arms are done in compound sets as well.

the thing with juice is that u wont feel like u need to rest so u can be tempted to work out everyday. however u should also remember that u need some good solid rest even tho ur body thinks it doesnt. otherwise all that extra training will mean zilch coz ur body will not have time to grow (coz u grow in ur sleep)
so if it feels comfortable to workout every other day as you are at the moment then i say do it.

I don't really believe all the hype about over training. I can see how it would be possible if you workout for 2 hours every day for weeks on end...

Me personally, I made zero progress on a non-overtraining style routine. Went back to my 5 day a week routine and the gains started again. Each is own I guess...

you know im always trying to find workouts that give me enough time between chest and shoulder days and back and bicep days. i never was a big fan of training chest and tris or back and bis together. i just run out of energy and strength by the time i get to the little muscles. but i was thinking something like this:

monday- chest, bis, forearms
tuesday- off
wed- quads, hams
thursday- shoulders,tris
friday- off
sat- back, calves
sunday- off

this way i have a few days between chest and shoulders, and by working legs on wed i wont be overtraining my upperbody by doing 2 days in a row in the middle of the week. i kinda think that sounds good and should work well. what do you fellas think?

i do, i like being strong in the gym, when i worked out everyday I didn't feel like my body had recovered enough and my lifts suffered. oh course i lift much more if I'm on anything.
