Who is using a phone workout log app?

What's a good one try? It seems convenient but it would have to be easy. I don't want to spend much time fiddling with my phone while I'm at the gym. Cuz if I did, someone would write about me in one of those "morons at the gym" threads. :lmao:

Is this gonna be for logging exercises, reps, weight used?

Or just for in general calories burned, lifting duration, cardiovascular duration, weight loss?

I'm not sure there's a good one for logging lifts unless u were crazy fast with ur thumbs.

Sent using the elitefitness app.

Workout Buddy for Android.
Simply for logging name of exercise, weight, and reps.
I replace each time I add reps or increase weight by simply scrolling to that exercise. A big plus is you can name the exercise yourself, for example if you use a cable pulldown that is numerical and doesnt indicate actual weight at a certain gym, and at another location(home, different gym etc),
you can name it accordingly. It has a few other functions but only other things I use is the memo (ex:reverse grip 210x8, or dropset to 40sX12)

I use gym buddy for iPhone. Took me a good 20 minutes to figure out you could create and name any lift you want Instead of just using there minimal list that was already there. Donno what others think but since I'm used to it I like it. Pretty quick for imputing your sets and reps. You can add notes to each lift. It's got a calendar function where u can Input each workout for each day. I do shift work... So it varies. Not that I've also worked out in a long time anyways. Other stuff to

iFitness for iPhone is really good. Quick and easy use. Has a timer as well that lets you know when your rest period is over. No more guess work. Its like $2 in the iTunes store. It has a bunch of pre loaded routines(which are average at best), but has hundreds of exercises and you have the ability to make custom workouts and keep them logged. I love it.

Thanks guys. It looks like gym buddy is apple only. I need an android app.
Do you guys enter stuff as you work out, or write it or remember it and enter it later?

I enter it as I workout. I use my phone as my iPod so I always have it. Plus I can never keep track of a damn pen for the life of me.

I don't! I have an Atrix and 90% of them have fucked up screens that don't respond so I hate typing on it.

It's a lot faster and better to just do it on a booklet.

Jefit rate 5 star. Amazing app.

Jefit loks really cool. All the exercises you could think of already in the program, and synchs with the on line database with forum etc.
But I tried to sign up for my acct and it won't register me. Invalid email address?
Off to a bad start.

I use JeFit Pro and I am really happy with it, mostly because is easy to use and to access previous logs.

I really dig the ability to download new routines as you please, edit them or make your own.

The animated workout could come in handy if you are a newbie...

i keep a complete, up-to-date, comprehensive log at home on microsoft excell. and then when i leave for the gym i write down on a peice of paper the exercises for that day and the reps/sets/weights that i did last week.

then i update excell when i get home.

this works pretty well for me, but i guess it is old fashioned with the pen-and-paper.

Jefit is awesome. I have my whole routine on there and very simple to mix it up.

Im glad this thread got going again. I down loaded Jefit a while back and never started using it. I guess I was trying to learn too much at once and it seemed like a pain. I just started logging my workouts this week, which I haven't been doing for a long time. A very positive step, and it really is simple with jefit.

I feel retarded man. Jefit made me angry in about 5 minutes trying to input sets.

EDIT- used the site to download a routine and figured it out about 10 minutes later. All set. Still feel retarded.
