Who here NEVER saw the WTC in person?

They were something that I definitely wanted to see.

I wouldn't go there for sight-seeing now (obviously), but if they needed me to help out...I'd be there as fast as my tail could get me there.

To be honest, I've never even thought about it and I once was in New York. At that time, I probably didn't even know it was there.

Lived in NY for 25 years, had my 13th birthday party up on "Windows on the World".
Took many dates there for drinks. Brother worked on the 67th floor.

Was something that words cannot describe...imagine being on a plane but standing on solid ground.

I hope they go and put up 3 new ones. They do need to replace the 10,000,000 sq. feet of office space.

Never have and now never will.

I seen on the news tonight were a firm did a tally of all the buildings that collapsed along with the ones that are severely damaged / temporarily abandoned and estimated over 27 million square feet total needed to be replaced.

sat on the floor of it for two hours waiting for my shuttle bus to newark's airport last november during the election crisis... bought a pair of boots in the mall there...

it's weird to see it now... where i sat is a pile of steel and dead people.. just chilling. and surreal. i can't wrap my head around it.
