Who has a pre-cycle prep phase??

Ive heard quite a lot of people saying that they have a precycle preparation phase, you know like a boxer traing before a fight, some load up on carbs other do lots of cardio to bump up metabolism, do you have a preparation phase precycle and if so what is it, thanks

Well, if I'm getting ready to compete I'll usually reduce my training volume and frequency the last 4 weeks before I start my cycel to ensure that my energy levels are high when I start. I also take a week off before I start my pre contest diet. This helps stabilize my metabolism and again ensure that I'm mentally and physically prepared to "gear up".
 
I eat clean year round! I don't do anything differently when I am on with the exception of eating a bit more.... which I continue to do when off. I am more of a slow and stready gainer that way...
 
i clean up my diet.. plan my routines/training plan my diet and start a log

then i maintain that for a few weeks.. only 2-3 at this point.. then i start..

it just ensures that im gonna give 110% if i start screwing up the diet or missing training sessions i know that its not the right time to hit the sauce..
