Statistically there have to be a number of paying black members, as well as those nonblacks who have at least a 60 IQ or better who don't appreciate that kind of nonsense being given free reign

I actually suspect Nubly is playing devil's advocate but I don't think much of the way he's going about it.

Now that you mention it, the last cop I spoke to said something like "Don't try to do our job." His point being that a litterbug, jaywalker, red-light-runner might be a dangerous psycho, after all. But damn it, it is not just the cop's job. It's everybody's job, if we're to be a society and not just a mob. If a litterbug can only be cowed by someone with a badge and a gun -- if you feel justified punching someone out because he points at your empty paper cup on the ground and says "Hey, you dropped something" -- then this society is over.

This is a tricky subject, how far exactly can a citizen go to make somebody else comply with the law.

If you see somebody littering, parking where they shouldn't, smoking where definitely shouldn't - is it your job to stop them, and how far should you go to stop them. As for something more serious, if you see/ suspect an assault how much is it your responsibility to try to stop it?

Considering this issue as applied to this board, what can ordinary members, not moderators, do about somebody posting racist bullshit? I know there is the report bad post button, but I am more thinking of how the rest of us should respond and deal with racist/inflammatory posts.
