I should say also that TIME's choice for man of the year has been suspect many times. They are not the authority on accomplished men and women in my book. They would probably pick someone like Putin.

Yes, he had plans to respond to any terrorist attack on his watch, and he has. Bill Clinton did not (USS Cole, etc), therby encouraging/enabling/allowing terroism to get worse.

Giuliani is'nt the President. I could'nt give a shit who gets man of the year. That is not my argument. I agree that Rudy was extremely heroic. That was'nt a place for the President though. My sister works for Bush, and after hearing about the shit that went down on the 11th in Wash., I think it would have been asinine for Bush to go back to Washington right away. These are just my opinions.
