which types of AAS speed recovery the most?

I haven't used Deca but I hear that's where it's at as far as recoverytime. I got pretty sore while just using cyp but that didn't stop me from beating it up at the gym. I do think I recovered quicker though. I'm with the other guys on being a cripple for a few days after legs. While on I was a beast.

In case it's not obvious to you, anadrol can be dangerous.

AAS = Massive increase in protein synthesis

Protein synthesis = Rebuilding of the muscles

Simple version.

indeed!
steroids DO in fact speed up recovery!
by how much who knows.. ill say about 25% faster.

If Safe Is What You're After, Deca Is Probably Best.

first off,
in low doses of say 400mg a week, sides of deca will be very minimal, while its anabolic properties will help you speed recovery and increase strength.

deca dick is a nasty side indeed... but only experienced in few.
i cant think of any other undesirable side from deca.

IMO.. the strongest and most effective steroid for growth... primo is similiar althoughnot as strong.. its safer though.

Ok the article says that they do allow for more protein synthesis and increased muscle cells and receptors, but not faster recovery. This is due to the fact that satellite cells repair muscle. You only have a certain amount of satellite cells as AAS do not increase their number. AAS put you in an anabolic state which is primed for a more efficient recovery. You will most likely even have more recovery, just not faster. This is according to a medical article I found. I'll bring it with me next time so I can give you the source. I'm not claiming one way or the other; I'm just telling you guys what this article says.

Interesting, thanks for the update. I want to do more research on "satellite cells" and how they function. Good stuff!

I also need to learn more about "satellite cells." The biggest reason why I asked about steroids and recovery time is that I have a rare muscle disorder that can sometimes happen to endurance athletes who chronically overtrain. In the past, I loved lifting and running, but I was ignorant of how to rest properly, and went way overboard. Four years ago (I was 23) my muscles became permanently very poor at recovering, supposedly due to a pathology involving the satellite cell repair process. There's definately evidence that IGF-1 acts on satellite cells to improve recovery (George Spellwin's article on the viral delivery) and through 1 or more mechanisms HGH and AAS do as well. I'd like to use these substances anyway, but I think they can allow me to recover normally again.
