Women gossip...Men tell of their conquests! LOL At least I think that is what they are talking about. I have been married for 17 years so I don't share with the other guys, but when I hear them talk, it seems more like bragging than gossip.
 
I concur with Hansel, men brag, women gossip. Men talk about what they have done, women talk about what others have done or will do or why they did it.
 
guys invite their friends over on the weekends to share a beer and look at the garage door spring they just installed....

women will mass email, conference call, hold tupperware parties, luncheons- to tell everyone that they saw "Julie" talking to the trainer at the gym and that she was smiling alot....

LOl, so true, you gotta love it. We are just different by nature. I think men see something as it is, whereas women tend to see things and read into them to the nth degree.

You know, there was a time I would have just said WOMEN ... but after watching an assload of reality shows, I think it's pretty much equal.

Unless you throw homosexuals into the mix, then dudes win, hands down. Dykes don't gossip, they just hit.

Ever since I started there.. umm.. 5yrs ago I have TOTALLY COME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT MEN GOSSIP WAAAYYYYY MORE THAN WOMEN!!!

I have never heard so many rumours and bullshit come out of group of people in my life. It all stops at me tho. In one ear out the other.

So yes.. my answer is MOST DEFINATELY MEN!!!

Well I mean in terms of sexual stuff, I'd have to say guys. I could fathom a chick keeping her mouth shut after banging some dude but I cannot even imagine a guy doing so.

men and women gossip about different things, at different times, at different levels of social comfort

men meeting other, new men for the first time might brag a bit, to qualify themselves as they guage the new bloke. bit of bravado, bit of machoism, a seedy joke with a name attached, and its over. real feelings seldom come out, and when they do, its between CLOSE confidantes, and an understanding that the convo never, ever, EVER leaves the table.

women meeting new women, on the other hand, use INTIMATE gossip or personal details to guage and bond with the new chick. seriously, its fucking scary. within 5 minutes of meeting a new girl, theyll happily chat about their partners erectile disfunction, or how they felt when they were cheated on (ie stuff that would horrify a man). when women start feeling truly comfy around each other, youll hear comments about which men theyve slept with

something else i noticed has to do with motives - if you want to know what a woman is REALLY thinking during a seemingly harmless gossip session, look at the things she has omitted/avoided during her convo. men, on the other hand, use a cover (like "hey bill, i want to shag xxxxx girl, whats her story") and are otherwise pretty straightforward

when men and women get bored and/or angry, then theyre the absolute same shit. but men are funnier, and are better storytellers.
 
No it's definitly women. Shit I have women gossip to me all the time. I can't get a word in when there talking. Then they tell me "don't say anything", shit by time there done, I couldn't repeat any of it if I wanted to. :worried:
