which phone to get?

ok, so i got the choice of two basic types of phone, as the deal im currently paying means im actally wasting money

1) no camera

2) camera (costs 50 more)


the no camera choices are basically limited to the following

nokia 5100 - outdoor phone built for impacts, water splashes etc. has a torch too . has a camera attachment but costs like 70. i like this phone because it means i will find it hard to break (i drop my phone a lot) but it has no camera

nokia 7210...not much to say...about the same as the 5100 save a few features but less robust


camera phones include the sony ericsson t610, siemensSL55, SamsungS300, Nokia 3200....


which to choose?

While I would love a phone that has a torch - it would probably really only have some sort of fucking flashlight instead.

I really want a SE T616 - so that gets my vote.

buying a camera phone is like buying a swiss army knife for the scissors. you know the scissors are going to suck so why not just buy a decent pair of scissors, a swiss army knife, and call it a day.

i was walking in front of my gf in a bar a few months ago oblivious to the fact that some jerkoff was walking behind my gf pointing his camera phone up her skirt. she found out after she saw him looking at his phone immediately afterwards and recognized her ass. had i seen this guy stick his phone near my girl's ass and take a pic, i would've grabbed it out his hand, drilled it into the nearest solid surface i could find and then popped him.

Most of the camera phones usually are built compromising superior craftsmanship/functionality/longetivity for the ability to take pictures, and shitty ones they are. I believe they are 0.3 megapixel. I personally would wait for a few more generations of the camera phones to come out.

first he says that the camera phone is essentially useless, and then follows it up with an excellent reason to get one.

seriously - get the camera phone and then you can take pictures of ssme's girlfriend's ass.

thanks for the link....i have one more option with a complete brick of a phone but it has every conceiavble gadget in it - Motorola A835


and if you like the SEt610, there's an updated version of it coming out soon (its essentially the same phone but with a flip so smaller). i love that too

i also own a digital camera so the point of the camera would essentially be 'hey look at that stupid thing, lemme photo it and laugh with my friends'

I like the way the T616 looks but not the T630 or the Z600 - the two upgrades. There is no real difference in quality of the setup - slightly different software.

I camp out on the phone forums and try to read what I can, at least for the one I own (Nokia 8890) and the T616.
