You're asking us? Isn't that your professional area of expertise?

I've had a stumpjumper many years a go. A hardrock before that. I also had a cannondale, old school original Y frame, with the "head shock". I've always liked Specialized bikes better than cannondale. But, it's almost purely frame design preference since components can vary. I find the "headshock" or the one arm shock to look ghey, so that automatically rules out cannondale.

Fun bikes regardless, can't really go wrong.

Where are you going to be riding it? That's the most critical question.

Yeah, I'm thinking the Stumpy too. I have had a Cannondale with the Lefty before and it rode great, but the Stumpy is a better deal. Plus nothing beats FSR technology.

I will be riding off road trails around the Twin City area, and probably take it on some trips as well.

Id have to say the Specialized, even though I prefer CAnnondale which I use as my raod bike. But the Cannondale uses SRAm components and I don't like SARM. The specialized uses Shimano and the rear derailer is XTR with most everything else being either Xt or LX. Much more dependable, I am not a huge fan of the LEfty either. But the Rize does use a float as the rear shock, which is a reliable shock. they are closing the Bedford plant of Cannondale by the way.

Well i like the Lefty and I like Sram, but Cannondale takes forever for warranty work, and their propreitary shit too.

Specialized is Awesome with warranty and customer support. I sell both brands and we are the largest Specialized dealer in the world, so they kinda like us. The owner had a party for us last fall.

Anyway, I will be going with the Specialized. Plus I can get the bad ass test ride black and green.
