Where to people find SPAM programs?

I mean, is there a software you can buy or download that will allow you to gather email addresses off a website?

Is this how spam operators work? I can't imagine someone sitting down and typing hundreds of thousands of emails into their mail program.

when ever someone puts their email addy on a porno subscribe list it puts them in a database and they use that

you can't just pluck them off a website, they have to be entered manually

lot's of companies sell their information to others....just like the credit card companies have been doing with snail mail for years

i think he means just scouring a website and pulling the email addys rather than purchasing a list of customer's emails.

This is what I was suspecting. I am getting spam regarding topics that I have not signed up for (i.e. bar tending school, etc..) so I don't know where that from.

that is why you see people listing their email address as:

fred(at)fishnuts.com or fred-AT-fishnuts-dot-com

It's not too hard to gulp in a series of web pages and extract every email address that is on them.

So they do make (sell) a program that does this? Or do you download it off the web? (those people who wrote it should be shot)
