Get good calipers... I found the accu measure are pretty close to the results I get from the hyrdo test. Within 1%.
Most importantly use it as a gauge to track your progress.

I mean of course it's subjective to some degree. I think the most important thing is picking a good testing method and being consistent with it.
I don't really care that it's not 100% accurate, but it allows me to gauge my progress.
I don't find the BF scales too accurate given how reliant they are on your level of hydration at the moment (and my reading is about 4% higher than I want, lol), but I do find the readings on my tanita usually consistent if I do it about the same time every day (after I've been up for about an hour, showered, had some coffee, etc., if I take it first thing when I wake up the reading is about 1% higher); If I get a whacked out reading I just ignore it and try again the next day.
Looking to get a DEXA done in a few months, and hopefully have it covered by insurance since I'm on TRT, vit-d was low, so could argue for getting a bone density measurement to track progress... Some universities / hospitals do various studies so you may be able to luck out and get one of those for free if someone is doing research, then you'll know exactly what your lean mass, body fat, and bone density is.
