you know the one who had the mother that didn't allow him to do ANYTHING fun or shit. Like she believed Star Wars action figures were from the devil or playing Monopoly was sinful or some shit like that.

What ever happened to that kid? When he grew up?

She got pregnant and married a crackhead who cheated on her and left her for a whore to raise her three children alone.

I'm serious.

This is believable, the lack of social interaction as a child and adolescent left her unprepared for real-world relationships and the decision-making processes involved.

She was not allowed to even read the most tame books if they were secular....she had to read different books in English class

Her oldest son is in therapy. He is so destructive that he has tried to set fire to the house multiple times. He is in therapy for 8 hours a day most days of the week. Already! He is only four.

Its very sad, you'd think with her upbringing she would have been able to find a better choice for a husband and father. I'm sure her parents disowned her and were not involved in her life at this point.

The one I know wasn't allowed to watch certain tv shows. Couldn't wear tshirts with the popular images on them - ninjas, transformers, batman, (remember the batman tshirt rage?)etc.. Couldn't go to Disneyland because it was the work of Satan and fairytales. Never got a Christmas present. Never got to go trick or treating.

Kids like that, I always wanted to see them grow up and kill their parents.

I'm not sure if I should admit this or not but I wasn't allowed to "trick or treat", my parents bought me some popular games for xmas one year (candyland, battleship, monopoly etc) but they never allow me to have friends over nor was I allow to go to other kids houses so I played them alone and made up my own rules.

I went to a single sleep over in the 6th grade where I learned that normal parents shared a bed a bath and a bedroom.

I was 17 the first time I was allowed to go to a movie with a friend from high school and then was never allowed to do it again because we stopped for ice cream on the way home and got back later than expected.

I could tell you story after story - it's truly mind bending that I don't sit medicated in some corner rocking and mumbling in an institution.

I left home at 17 six or so months after the movie incident.

I had extremely strict parents as well, but I gained control over the household at 16 after running away multiple times at 15.

I really hope that I dont turn into the people my parents were when I was 15 , but I'd be honored to turn into the people they've become today.

My parents were so laid back. They were too busy to worry about me and my sisters.
Their theory was, let's trust them to do well.
I think if they were strict, I would have had more of my "shit" together.
They are amazing parents though :-)

He moved to NY and died from AIDS in the early 1980s.
