Interesting. Where did you find that. High VO2max is an anaerobic energy metabolisys, which utilizes glucose for fuel, or converts protein to glucose by adding pyruvate which breaks down certain aminoacids (catabolism to compensate for maintenance of ATP)
I would venture to say that high VO2max only promotes increased lypolisys post-excercise, but that is mainly due to an increased metabolic advantage
