You are correct, but AM General was owned by GM when the H1's first came out also. They've ALWAYS used GM drivetrains, even the military version has the tride and true 6.5 turbodiesel with the 4L80E tranny. The H2 will DEFINITELY not be as tough because it was designed to be bette ON the road whereas the H1 was designed as an off-road/military vehicle in the first place...
