What's the reason for "frontloading"?

DIRTY LUKE

Just curious if someone colud pls explain this to me wha ti s the purpose behind fromt loading would it be benificial in my cycle?
week 1-12 sust 500mg/week
week 1-10 deca 400mg/week
week 1-4 d-ball 25mg/day
week 9-13 either fina 75mg eod or winny 50mg eod

It is only part of a larger picture and when used in conjunction with other apsects it helsp to maintain a steadier concentration of AAS in the bloodstream couple with a faster onset and in turn generally allows for a shorter cycle using the same amount of AAS.

Front-loading simply gets blood levels up to mid-cycle level much sooner into the cycle... around the end of week 1/beginning of week 2.

General method is to double the dose on the first week and then use the regular dose in the weeks following.

It's basically used to achieve steady state blood levels sooner. Normally it would take 4-5 half-lives to reach steady state, but by using a loading dose you are able to reach a plasma concentration of the drug which falls in the therapeutic window (yeah, define this range with AAS!) after only one or very few doses over a short interval (1-2 weeks). The dose is larger than the dose needed to maintain blood levels in this range (again this range is not well defined for AAS). So you use it to reach consistent (steady state) blood levels sooner (as opposed to not using a load it takes 4-5 half-lives to reach steady state, which is why you don't see the dramatic effects with test enanthate or longer esters until the 4th week or so with conventional dosing----the half live is approximately 6-7 days, so 4-5 half lives of test E is around 4-5 weeks. So like Zygla said, since you reach steady state sooner, you could use this method to decrease length of cycles because you are at therapeutic levels sooner, and can omit the weeks it takes waiting to get there.

Out of curiousity... what week do you usually notice the effects of a longer ester in when you frontload? Mid week 1 to week 2?

I'm on the first day of my third week of an EQ only cycle. I frontloaded the last 2 weeks. I have noticed the sides for about a week now and the anabolic effect has just kicked in within the last day or two. I feel really hard and pumped and I haven't lifted since saturday. Legs are tonight and I can't wait to squat! :D

When I did my frontload, I chose to do 1 gram of QV testE weeks 1 and 2. I really didn't notice that much of a dramatic effect, but I could definetly feel it by about the end of week 1. The only thing I didn't like was that I started retaining water real fast-by the end of week 1. By the end of week 2 the estrogen accumulation (for me) was pretty substantial and I had to use nolva to get it under control. Did I find it more beneficial than running a conventional steady dose schedule? Yes and no. I found the adverse effects to be more prominent than the quality of gains or positive effects. But that is just me. I would rather use a shorter acting test or d-bol for the first 4 weeks until I reached steady state with the longer ester. But that is not to say it isn't effective. Just be sure you have the proper ancillaries to combat the sides if it is a problem for you. I know guys that can run 1g/week and not get the sides like I did.
And to answer Dirty Luke's question, if you are running an oral like d-bol, drol or even a shorter acting ester like prop for the first few weeks, I don't believe you need to front load the longer ester. You will benefit nicely from the faster acting AAS during this time. Also, I don't know how effective front-loading sust would be cuz it has the shorter esters in it. So your cycle seems fine the way you have it planned. The d-bol will give you noticible effects in the first few weeks.

When I front load with test

I will use prop with the enanthate. My goal is to get test in the system quickly until the enanthate kicks in.So first two weeks will look like this enanthate @ 800mg/wk and prop @ 100mg/ed.Comes to 1500mg of test a week.I frontloaded with prop for 10 days instead of the full two weeks. And the rest of the second week was 100mg/eod.:p
